Up until recently, we were next door neighbors to Victoria and Kevin and Jeff was one of Kevin's riding buddies.  Bella honed her swimming skills in our pool.  We saw first hand the amazing mother and supportive wife that was Victoria.  Never uttering a bad word about anyone, she was not just a church goer, but a true Christian who practiced her faith daily.  We won't forget our interactions with her and her disciplined daily walks around and around the block.  Victoria set such a great example for Bella and we hope and pray that the memories of such an amazing mother would comfort Bella throughout her life.  Of course, Kevin owes his faith to Victoria.  How many wives can say that God used them to lead their husband to Christ?  We are so blessed to have known this amazing person.  She will not be forgotten.

Victoria, you are missed.  Thanks for all the memories.  We know you're in a better place now!  We'll keep Jun and Bella company as much as possible!

I know Victoria about two years ago. My daughter Abigail was in the same class with Bella. While the class was online, some times Abigail would have over-heard some familiar Chinese speaking when Bella forgot to mute her speaker. Abigail would have giggled. She told me Isabella's mom was always by Isabell's side. I wowed and felt a bit guilty for myself almost never did that.  At a play date, We finally met Bella and Victoria. We became friends ever since.  Yet, I never knew that Victoria had been fighting a cancer.

Victoria was such a good mom. She always knew what was going on at the school. She and I always liked to compare notes and share information, sometimes joys or frustrations with the school. At the beginning of the following year (2021-2022), I was so happy to learn that Abigail and Bella were assigned to the same class again, this time in person. They became best friends. Victoria and I also became to talk to each other regularly. She was a warm person, who wouldn't have loved her?

Victoria held a birthday party for Bella a few week ago. The week after the party, my family headed to our vacation. During the vacation I missed Kevin's message. We returned a week later, and Victoria has gone. This is all too sudden. My heart is aching.  Thank you Victoria for being my friend and inspiration. I'll remember you forever.

I wrote something in Chinese on the day I learned her passing.

我今天才知道，咪咪的好朋友的妈妈突然去世了。今天才知道，她其实和癌症已经打斗了7年。可是对我来说，这件事一点征兆也没有，因为她刚刚不久前才给女儿办了10岁生日会，有十多个孩子参加。她的音容笑貌还在。我们走的时候她还让我们把她多订的意面带回去两盒。

我们认识了一年多，她看上去有点“虚胖”，体力不是很好的样子，我还以为她可能有糖尿病之类的慢性病。现在回想起来我后悔莫及， 为了礼貌，也因为我自己瞎忙， 我从来没有问过她。除此以外，她其他一点异常也看不出来。她非常爱他们的女儿，very attentive， 我想Bella 是个独生女， 所以受到的attention 比较多也是正常。总之， 她是个很“正常”很好相处的人。没有人看到过她有任何抱怨。她总是资讯很多，知道大大小小学校里的信息，给女儿一手安排各种课内课外活动。她也给学校当志愿者。我看她家里布置得也很好看。刚换了房，刚做了院子，买了家具。。她先生都不用操心。。怎么能想到她居然是个多年的一直接受治疗的癌症患者？

想来想去，心里还是没法接受她离开我们的现实。太突然了， 以至于心痛不已。 可以确定的是，她是个努力生活过的人，在世的时候，凡事尽力做到最好，连去世，也尽量不麻烦别人。我心疼她女儿，但是妈妈的爱和自强的精神肯定也会是她的精神财富。 


Victoria was such an unbelievable person. She was so warm. She was so welcoming. So full of life and love. I can still feel her light. It was bright. 

Her husband Kevin (Jun to me) and I were best friends in college. I still remember the first time Kevin introduced Victoria to my wife and I. We both left dinner thinking what a blessing Victoria would be to him. You could see how much she cared and loved him. You could see what a great partner and mother Victoria would be. 

I am so grateful to have known Victoria because it has made my life richer. I am so grateful that one of my closest friends is able to call Victoria his wife and Bella is able to call her mom. We are all better people for knowing her and having her in our lives, even if it was not nearly as long as we would have liked. 

Brother, may God bless you, Bella, your family, friends, and all those that mourn with you. We all love and support you and Bella. We are behind you.

Thank you for your text and our 15 mins chat the night before you admitted into the ER . I felt  an honor to be the person who can hear your concern about Bella ‘s faith in Christ . Please don’t be worry as our father love her more than you and me . He will be watch over  her all the times . We met in Awana and Bella is my student.  She is a brilliant kid with the deep understanding of God’s salvation.  I told God I will walk with her in every stage of her life . Please enjoy your time with our Lord and you are at a place with no pain  or sickness .  We will meet one day in heaven . 
I will miss you so much , Victoria.  😇😇😇😇😇😇

I miss you Victoria! I still remember the old days that we hung out in UCI dorm. You asked me to be your MC in your wedding. We carpooled together to work when you were pregnant. And many more dinners and nights that we had fun together. 

Thank you so much for being my friend! You will always be in my memory.
