We worked together in a unit at Los Padrinos juvenile hall. I always knew when Garcia showed up we were having a good day. His calm and personable demeanor always insured that fact. We talked about a lot of things while working together including politics, religion and the state of the world in general. I was there when he experienced a crisis and was taken away in an ambulance never knowing that would be the last time I would see him. R.I.P. my friend you are truly missed.

It was a great pleasure working with you Garcia. You were a good mentor and friend. Enjoyed working with you in Y in it's ups and downs. I most appreciated hanging out with you and your family at your Ocean Side and Laguna places very much, awesome memories!!! Rest in Peace, BOB!! You are always in thoughts 👼

Garcia was I and had a special bond that I will always cherish. He was not only my Sr. but my friend. He loved his job and he loved his family.  He was a hard working man with integrity. He did things his way but it always worked for him. We had some great times throughout the years in Unit Y and at times we all drove him crazy by hiding his purse and being in his business lol. I will always cherish our Sunday potlucks and the fried chicken he bought every week to share. There will never be another B-O-B. Rest well my friend 

My Father-in-Law was a passionate man when it came to his family and career.  His two favorite things to talk about was classic rock and probation.   Every time I played classic rock for him, he would name the year the song was released.  Although, the multiple strokes he suffered affected his memory a bit, he always remembered all the staff he worked with and how old he was when a classic rock song was released.  Mr. Garcia never cared about what others thought of him, he would wear whatever made him feel good.  He hardly ever took his sunglasses off in his unit, and always walked into work looking like a mob boss with his flashy jewelry, slick back hair, and bags of food and snacks for him and his crew.  Mr. Garcia represented a true baby boomer, and his work ethic showed it.  He worked his entire probation career without ever calling out.  Mr. Garcia adored his family and always worked hard to provide for them.  Thank you for raising 2 great kids.  I am blessed to be married to your daughter.  You raised her right because her character and work ethic show it.  We will miss having you over and stuffing you with tasty food and snacks. I always enjoyed making you fresh popcorn and seeing how much you enjoyed it.   I will never forget your firm handshakes that could break a man’s hand if you squeezed a bit harder. God Bless you Mr. Garcia, I know you will watch over us from up above.  We wish you would have been around longer and in better health to enjoy your family and grandkids Niko and Keikoa. 

Mr. Garcia was a very kind and generous man. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Los Padrinos when I was a DSO. He was a great leader and I  Iearned a lot about the job from him. He always had good snacks to eat as well, always sharing with others. He was fair across the board with staff and minors, never leaving anyone behind. I will miss his funny sense of humor and his great stories. Mr. Garcia aka B-O-B will be greatly missed.  When he retired he left us all heartbroken. RIP my dear friend, forever in our hearts. 

Bob, as I knew him, was a fair, kind and honest person.  When I worked with him as a DSO I saw that he treated all minors and all Officers with respect.  He was extremely patient and had a way of communicating with kids and gaining compliance without negativity.  He also had a great sarcastic and self deprecating sense of humor.  One of my favorite people to work with and learn from.  Rest In Peace Bob.
