Richard Roy Keller was born on February 9, 1937, in Pontiac, Michigan to Roy and Lena Keller. Richard married the love of his life, Carol Rose Wooster on May 31, 1958. Richard and Carol had one child, a daughter Ruth Keller born September 12th, 1960. The Keller’s lived in Downey, CA and were married for 47 years until Carol’s passing on April 8th 2005. Richard was employed with the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power for 33 years. Richard’s lifelong compassion was horse racing, where his historical knowledge of “The Sport of Kings” was unmatched. Richard passed away September 19, 2023 at the age of 86. Richard is survived by his daughter Ruth Christian, granddaughter Brittney Christian, grandson Ryan Christian, 5 great grandchildren, his Brother Robert Keller and longtime girlfriend Nancy Prigmore.
A funeral service for Richard will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - Memorial Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601.
Richard will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Garden of Commemoration; Gate: 1, Section: 1, Lot: 2105, Grave: 4.
