A devout Christian, Ray attended in Calvary Chapels in Ontario, Chino Hills, and Rancho Cucamonga. He cherished his faith community serving as an usher and joined mission trips to Mexico and New York following September 11th.
During his lineman days, Ray played intramural basketball with his fellow SCE colleagues. He also coached youth sports teams including his son’s baseball and brother-in-law’s football teams.
Ray was an enthusiastic supporter of Southern California sports, especially UCLA teams, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He frequently attended Dodger games with his children, family, and friends.
