Melissa Linda Snyder

Dearly beloved, she is survived by her mother, Jessica L Christie, brothers, Paul A Carranza, Christopher A Flores and Rene Flores, sister Hillary Flores, sons Matthew, Michael and Ethan, and husband Stuart C Snyder, along with uncles Alfonso, Marty, Joe, and Maxie, aunts Sylvia , Teddy, Pat, Eileen and Martha, nieces and nephews and, many cousins and close friends.

Melissa was born June 8, 1971, in San Gabriel, CA, and attended San Gabriel Mission Grammar School and San Gabriel High School. She lived in the San Gabriel Valley throughout her young life. She joined the L.A. Job Corp. where she met, fell in love, and married Matthew Hilburn. They had one son, Matthew, and eventually moved to Oklahoma. Two years later she had her second son Michael. Many years later she met and married Stuart C Snyder and gave birth to her third son, Ethan.

She was loving and cherished her family. Although she was far, far, away, she stayed in touch with her family in California. Missing her family, she called often and especially enjoyed long talks with Auntie Connie, Cousin Yolanda, Aunt Martha, and Cousin Karrie Lynn. She was a homemaker, was dedicated to her family, and did not hesitate to care for Stuart’s five children when his divorced wife passed.

Melissa was a true friend and a loving daughter and sister. Her passing has been hard to endure. She is painfully missed.
