Matthew Patrick Alusha

Matthew Alusha, loving and only child to mother Lenora Alusha and dad Jorge Ocegueda died at the age of 19 on the 605 fwy in a tragic car accident near their home in Whittier, CA. He is survived by two brothers a sister, and his loving girlfriend of 5 years.

Matthew was an accomplished self taught barber (@Matty_fadez) who had many clients/friends. He was a very driven young man, with many goals and aspirations in life. He valued family and couldn't wait to start his own.

Matthew was very close to his Ama, Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins. He loved the outdoors, and looked forward each year to our family camping trip to Yosemite. This was a family tradition, which he was part of since he was born.

He loved the beach, driving, playing tricks on his cousins, and exploring new places. Matthew was a very friendly and down to earth guy who was easy to like. Matthew had a big heart and was always willing to help others.

Even though he was just starting his adult life, he accomplished so much. He was passionate driven and very motivated to achieve his goals.

Matthew had always known the Lord, but in the end was truly seeking to reconnect in his faith.

He will be missed, but never forgotten.

His beautiful smile and contagious laugh will be with us in our hearts forever.

A piece of my heart left with you when you left,

And the emptiness in my life will never be filled.

My heart is broken, but I find comfort knowing you are now in God’s hands.

A visitation in chapel for Matthew will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - SkyRose Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 8545 Norwalk Blvd, Whittier, California 90606-3397.

Matthew will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Garden of Reflection Lawn; Gate: 1, Section: 15, Lot: 570, Grave: 2.
