

Maria was born in Juarez, Mexico to Manuel Ortega Marquez and Dolores Nieto de Ortega on September 8th, 1934. Maria worked in several careers, to include Levi’s Jeans Company, Thrifty’s Drug Store, and Southern California WIC program totaling over 50 years of employment. Maria was involved in Baldwin Park’s Senior Center where she helped other members learn the art of knitting.
Maria Elena Espinoza is survived by her two brothers Juan Ortega and Victor Ortega of El Paso, TX. Children Fernando and Debbie Juarez from Virginia Beach, Va. Jose Juarez from Azusa CA, Roberto and Elizabeth Juarez from San Antonio, Tx, Irma and Jim McGaughey from Alta Loma, CA. Max Juarez Jr. and Monica from Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Maria was a very proud and loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Maria is preceded in death by her beloved husband Antonio Espinoza and her son, Juan Manuel Juarez.
The family will host a private visitation for family members on April 2nd from 5-6 Pm followed by a public visitation 6-7 Pm: A Rosary is scheduled at 7Pm. At Rose Hills Memorial Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier Ca. 90601.
A funeral mass service will be held April 3rd 10 am at St. John the Baptist, Catholic Church, 3883 Baldwin Park Blvd, Baldwin Park Ca. 91706
Burial will follow at Rose Hills, from 1130 to 1200.
