Lena Lou Stone

Lena L. Stone passed away peacefully on 12/10/2020 in Yorba Linda California, her home for the past 25 years. Lena was born in Van Buren Arkansas on January 3rd, 1932 to Victor and Effie Whitfield. She is the oldest of their 3 daughters.

The Whitfield family moved to Bell Gardens, California in 1942, shortly thereafter they relocated to Maywood, California where Lena attended Bell High School. After High School Lena went on to work for Ingersoll Rand where she met Dan Stone her husband of 48 years.

Although Lena did not have any children of her own, she was known to many friends of her nieces and nephews simply as “Aunt Lena”.

Lena enjoyed spending time in Crestline at the family cabin, gambling, which included many trips to Vegas, Laughlin and the Indian Casinos. She loved traveling and enjoyed trips to Europe, Arkansas, New York and weekend getaways with her Sisters to Palm Springs.

Lena had an infectious laugh, great sense of humor and a giant love for her family and friends.

Lena is superseded in death by her parents, Victor and Effie Whitfield and husband, Dan Stone.

Lena is survived by sister Doris Beaudette (Bob) of Banning California, sister Shelba Bailey (Roger) of Temecula California, nephews, Bob Beaudette Jr., Steve Beaudette (Diana), Dennis Beaudette (Cesar), nieces Cindy Bailey, Michelle Martin (Tim) and great nephews Steven Beaudette Jr., Timothy Martin and Jacob Martin.

A small family service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park on January 14, 2021.
