My Cousin John is featured in so many memories of my life.
As kids, when the cousins got together, John was the de facto leader and the facilitator of fun.
He led us as we launched a G.I Joe helicopter off a roof to see if it could fly. John was the aerodynamic engineer as our Evel Knievel toy motorcycles attempted jumps over all kinds of objects culminating with an attempt either onto or from the roof of a house! His never-ending imaginations once led him to put “golden ticket” notes into helium balloons and let them go to see if anyone would respond.
John also used my Super 8 movie camera to conceive and direct us cousins in a silent stop-action short film. The five of us spent an entire summer recording a TV News parody that John had conceived using cassette recorders. 
July 4th always makes me think of John’s plastic car models. He would modify them with fireworks and firecrackers. If you didn’t pay attention, you might’ve had to dodge a car with a bomb speeding towards you. 
When we all began having families of our own, we didn’t see each other as often. However, my family and I would run into him in the strangest places under the most bizarre circumstances. We walked into the Cerritos Target one evening and there was John sitting alone on a bench just inside the store. On another evening, we were grabbing food at Taco Bell. When we reached the window, John had commandeered the drive-thru and asked, “will there be anything else?” as he handed us our food!
John’s most notable unexpected sighting occurred when Chris and I were on a dinner date at our favorite romantic spot, Johnny Carino’s.
I was sitting across from Chris, gazing into her eyes, when suddenly the spell was broken by the startling shock of John sliding next to me and putting his arm around me!
Over the years random “John encounters” were also logged at Bob’s Big Boy, Home Depot, Downtown Disney, and Toys R Us of course.
I am comforted knowing that the next place, I’ll see John is in Heaven. 


John took this photo. A quick snapshot in to the day in the life of such a great man.  A memento I felt honored to receive I placed it for all to see.  John always made you smile.  Finding meaningful moments and the bright side of things. Making the most out of any situation. 
He made my work life enjoyable.  He made me feel like part of his family.  A father figure whom possessed the best qualities of man. He was my friend, my confidant.  Before I  met his beautiful wife Evelyn,  I would recognize the number she would call from and answer it just because it immediately by just her name. I did it knowing I would get to talk to two of my favorite people.  

I have not had the pleasure of working with John in more recent years but that didn’t mean I didn’t check in.

 I wish I could of express one more time my love for you, John.   I already miss you and will continue to take a moment to reflect on my love for you.   


John was my best friend. My Husband. The father of my children.
I'm expected to "carry on", but he was my life and I definitely
feel his absence.  Its hardest at night, when I can't sleep because
I miss him and his snoring. His arms were my safety net. They kept 
me safe and warm. I loved all of our adventures. Big Bear trips 
during summer and winter, by ourselves and with others. The desert in my mini pick up truck with Don and John's Dad. Magic Mtn and Disneyland with the cousins and then with our girls as they grew.  A Trip to Disney World and the Cape Kennedy Space Center that John won at work.  Getting Krystal to wear a princess hat for a picture at  Disneyland by  putting one on his own head. The Star Trek convention with Kirk and Spock. Waiting in line for Star Wars movies. The Star Trek  Experience in Vegas with our girls.  River Rafting in Colorado on a trip I won at work.  Crafting together and craft shows. Him selling our crafts in stores and working the shift he had to after working his long hours at work.  Collecting and Selling Hot Wheels at Hot Wheels shows.
Everything we did, WE HAD FUN Doing!  Making it to Roswell was an awesome trip. We "Stood on the Corner in Winslow Arizona", visited a meteor crater. Traveled the petrified forest. Watched Bats fly out of a cave at dusk. Visited the Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell all in one trip. Lets not forget I got to swim in the ocean by jumping off a catamaran in Hawaii!! John and Deanna eating caviar and laughing so hard because of the popping in the mouth!! He was Daddy to both girls and he sure showed them both so much love............... they were his sunshine!!
We will all miss you, John............. so very much!!




I knew John  and Evelyn since High School. Evelyn asked me to introduce her to John because she liked him the rest is history.  They got married, had children and had a long marriage. He'll be greatly missed.  Keeping Evelyn and family in our prayers.
