100 years old.
Born in the United Kingdom on 4/7/1920 to Rosalind and John Higgins. John was always ambitious and had a dedicated work ethic. He started work at the early age of 14 for British Tap & Die and continued until age 20. John could accomplish anything he set his mind to do and at age 20 to 26 he was a proud member of the British Royal Navy. At age 26 to 32 he was employed by North Postal Engineer in London.
In 1952 John immigrated to USA where he began his 36 year career for IBM as an engineer. His travels for IBM included Vietnam, Germany, and Australia. He was a dedicated employee and worked for IBM for 36 years. When he retired he dedicated his free time to playing tennis until the age of 97. He loved the game and was able to complete one of his dreams of going to a Wimbledon tennis tournament in England. He lived a long and happy life and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his brother Raymond, his son Kevin and spouse, Daughters: Sharon and spouse, Michele, Donna and 7 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, New Zealand Family, Tonnu Family, and numerous friends.
