John R Gardner

John Roy Gardner Born January 5, 1925 in Los Angles, California and passed away peacefully on November 20, 2016 in Loma Linda, California. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked for Bell Telephone for 35 years. Predeceased in death by Peggy, his beloved wife of 49 years, and brothers Wesley and Robert. Survived by his sister Cecile Farrand of Temple City and his loving children Suzan Jank of Omaha and John of Redlands, as well as by his grandchildren Nathan, Rachel and Sarah of Omaha and Sean of Highland Park. Strong in his faith, John served as an Elder and Congregation President of Immanuel First Lutheran in West Covina for many years and recently as a member of Christ the King Lutheran in Redlands. He will be missed by all who knew him, but he is now joyfully in the company of his Lord.
