Hanna Lee began a daughter, a sister, then wife, then mother, then widow and then grandmother.
She was an artist. She created delicate and powerful floral sculptures throughout her life. Beginning in her early twenties as an art teacher in Korea, she continued with her art studies in America, always creating sublime arrangements throughout her life.
She was a woman of faith. She attended seminary and became a preacher in the 1980s. She went on missions. And throughout her life she prayed and cared for others.
Her life was difficult. She struggled with the trauma from her youth and the war throughout her life.
And yet she persisted with her art and with her faith. She never compromised her dignity, and she never gave up hope. As with her art and her faith, she was both sensitive and strong,
This is the legacy she passes to her children and grandchildren: dignity and hope.
Rest in peace, Mom.
Hanna will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Garden of Eternity; Gate: 1, Section: 8, Lot: 1853, Grave: 4.
