Gary Webster

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Arthur Webster, 72, who left us on December 24th. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an exceptional friend to all who knew him.

Born on July 31, 1951 in Elmira, NY, Gary was the third child of Hugh and Vivian Webster. He graduated from Horseheads High School, served four years in the US Air Force before raising a family. He spent 20 years working in IT and was respected for his hard work, dedication, and expertise.

Gary met the love of his life, Julie Van Syckel, and they were married for 48 years. They were blessed with two children whom they loved and adored. Gary was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, always putting his family’s needs above his own.

Gary had a love for cooking and enjoyed making enough food for an army of people. He was known for his vivacious sense of humor, his kind heart, and his bean dip.

He is survived by his wife Julie, his children Valerie and Patrick, his Mother Vivian, his siblings Tom, Ann, and Lynn, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Los Angeles Fire Dept Foundation.

Gary will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace.
