Frank was on my mind today and I looked online and read of his passing. I cried. We attended college together and after a time we both decided to major in microbiology. Our birthdays were a year and a day apart. I was blessed to know his family as well as Doris. He became my dentist but was always my friend. There were four of us who trudged through the science department at CSULB most of the time Frank dragging bolstering my confidence helping me stay focused. He was a brilliant student, a kind human being and his love for his family and particularly his daughter was palpable. He and Doris attended my wedding in Stockton in 1986 riding on a plane that was not much more than a crop duster, but he was determined to get there. I loved both of them for that gesture. I am saddened by the loss of this proud, intelligent and thoughtful man. My sincere condolences to his family. All I can say is ‘I known we will see each other again dear brother.’  Rest peacefully my dear friend.

Dear Dr. Frank,
You were the best Dentist I ever had. You gave me good care and had me cracking up while doing my dentistry. I will never forget you telling me about different restaurants and the Disney Cruise. I was about 110 years old, and you made me want to go. I just love you and your family.. You are in my prayers every day. Nikki and Norma Cortez, thank you for thinking about me at such a sad time. P.S. I'm 64,  going on 65. Love and blessings.

My condolences goes out to the Cortez family. As a little girl I loved candy and always ended up in Franks dentist chair. In April, I’m just finding out the the dentist who always showed kindness towards my family and I has transitioned to a better place. This guy was a great conversationalists and always made you felt welcome in his business. Frank talked about anything from food, cars to electronics while giving several shots at the same time. As I am writing this years in my eyes, I could truly say this man loved his family and taught me to be kind to others without any judgment. Majority of my childhood was spent in those dentist chairs and to this day people say, “You have beautiful teeth”. Thanks Frank.

Sending my deepest condolences to the Cortez family. I have known Frank for well over three decades, and was a patient the vast majority of that time. I have many fond memories of talking about my pigeons while Frank simultaneously cleaned my teeth. The absolute best part of it was his excitement and enthusiasm on how my birds were doing. Frank, you made this world better simply by being associated with you and I truly appreciate all that you were to my family. The world is a little less kind without you in it. The Barreto family sends our deepest condolences to the Cortez family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Junior was a big part of our family in his childhood and teenage years. He was always smiling and laughing. He was a whizz at math so during Dad’s (Tony) construction planning he would ask Junior for his advice on some of the measurements; then  they would have coffee and cookies. 
We have such fond memories of the Cortez family!

Having spent a fairly stressful four years with Frank at UCLA, I was impressed with Frank’s kind and gentle demeanor.  He was one of the nice guys.  My sincerest condolences for the family’s loss.  May your many memories of him be of great comfort to you and bless you.

My condolences to the Frank Cortez family.  Frank and I were very close friends since 1979 as we entered dental school as classmates.   He was a very talented person with a great warm personality.  I will always cherish those years when we were in school.  Frank, Paul, Woody, Al and I were inseparable during these years.
