Edna wed Paul Young in 1953, and they have five children: Mark, Russell, Karen, Kathryn, and Karolyn.
Edna was a lifelong avid sports fan. She and Paul were passionate Laker and Ram fans. They had season tickets to watch the Rams play at the LA Coliseum and followed them to Anaheim Stadium. She bowled for many years, well into her 70’s with the Los Angeles Chinese Bowling Club, as a founding member. The family vacations were planned around the Annual Pacific Coast Labor Day bowling tournaments. Edna and Paul frequently vacationed to Las Vegas.
Edna retired after nearly 50 years working at Cal State Los Angeles as a Fiscal Specialist/Assistant to the Dean with the Charter College of Education. She instilled the importance of a college education in her children and grandchildren. To honor this value, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Edna Young Scholarship at California State University, Los Angeles https://tinyurl.com/ednayscholarship
