Wishing I could be with you on this day.  But knowing that you have the strength, courage and grace to continue living and loving life.  Your mom was so loving and giving, and patient.  I'm so glad to have you all as family.  Long distance love and hope.

In memory of my sweet loving cousin Dorothy Jean better know as (Big Dot) Dorothy has exhibit the love of God, as Jesus said the greatest gift is (Love) Tasha baby, you carry that gift to.May the Lord give us all Peace in the midst of our sorrows.

My Auntie Dyer, simply the best, my Auntie Doroty loves kids(we all know that about my Auntie Dyer),during family reunions, picnics,or any kind of family functions,she kept our kids busy with all kinds of fun toys,educational books, physical activities, that is something she had covered like no body else. Auntie loves to sing, my Auntie Dorothy was funny, compassionate,giving,and full of knowlege. Thank you Auntie for all the medical advice when I was confused on health issues,thank you for singing at my wedding, thank you for blessing my family ( Shana, Aidan), with all gifts of love. You are and will always be missed. I love you Auntie Dorothy.

My moment about my Aunt Dorothy goes back in time,when I was in elementary school, before she married my Uncle Nath.  She stopped by the Big House and I was there so sick, didn't want to go to school. Aunt Dorothy took me to school with her to Cal State LA.  She introduced me to her friends as her soon to be niece who pretended to be sick today.  She has always had a special place in her heart for children. She always gave kids big gift bags full of unique gifts and toys. Now that I think back about that story, I want to ask her ""where is my gift bag full of toys""?  I will miss you Aunt Dorothy.

Not only was my cousin “Auntie Dorothy” family, but she was also a great adviser and a friend. She was vibrant, humorous, and spiritual. Tidy bop and Ta-Ta are the names she so affectionately called her one and only daughter. As a child growing up with Natasha, I had the privilege of knowing Auntie Dorothy personally. So, when I was around her I couldn’t help but feel like she was a second mother to me as well. She was always just so loving, giving, and fun. 
Auntie enjoyed life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same. Her love for children was contagious and definitely noticeable. As an Elementary Teacher, I looked up to her for her expertise in the field of education. And trust me, she told it like it was.  Her wealth of health knowledge helped us in many ways to get through several illnesses. Through thick and thin, she was there for me during childhood birthday parties, tragedies, and family get-togethers  at the “Big House.” Overall, I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity of knowing Dorothy and creating memories with her. 
We love you Auntie and you will truly be missed.  
Tidy know you’re in my prayers daily. Love you!

When I think of my cousin Dorothy, the words that come to mind are unselfish, caring, concerned, giving, loving, sweet, knowledgeable and a woman of sincere heart and spirit who loved the Lord. Not to mention she sang like a bird! I have never known her not to put others first before herself, especially her family, and of course children.  She so loved children.  I will miss her and her cheerful high pitched voice, calling everyone ""baby"".  She was truly one in a million and one of my ""Angels on Earth"".  To Tasha and our family, You have so many wonderful memories of your mom to treasure. We are here for you so don't hesitate to call. May God continue to give you comfort, peace and understanding during the days ahead..  Blessings and Love,

I would often laugh at and with Natasha when she would affectionately complain about how many gifts her Mother had for the children in her life.  These children would range from family, to the child of Natasha’s friend, to the child of her former coworker. Our daughter’s face would light up as she opened the bountiful gift Mama Dyer would lovingly put together. Savannah’s smile, however, could never be compared to the smile on Mama Dyer’s face and heart when she would receive Savannah’s simple hand written thank you note, or inarticulate thank you message.   The smile on Mama Dyer’s face was not because Savannah was praising her generosity, but was because now she knew Savannah received the gift.  God loves a cheerful giver, and that was what Mama Dyer was.  We will miss you terribly Mama Dyer… Love Roxanne, Jordan, and Savannah Brown.

Ms. Natasha
Your mom and dad brought a much appreciated touch of style, class and dignity to the Dyer family.  Way back when I was about 10 or 12 years old your parents arrived at my parents home,(Eddie D. and Shirley Dyer) I was out in the street playing touch football with friends.  I observed your father getting out of the car go around and open the passenger side door for your mother.  I didn't know why he did it, I just assumed it was because he loved, appreciated, and respected her for the lovely women she was.  Back then I thought that was a nice thing to do and someday I am gonna do that for my girlfriend or wife.  And now today after 22 years of marriage I continue to open the car door for my wife, because of what I observed your father doing for your mother on that day. This may seem like such a simple thing, but every time I open the car door for my wonderful wife, its in honor and tribute to your mom for being the wonderful and special person she was. Continue to live your life with that special touch of style, class and dignity your mom had.

I am soooooo sorry to hear about your mom.  I have nothing but great memories of Mama Dyer.  That sweet smile.  Truly, such a lovely person.

One of the first things I thought when I heard the news, was that I'm sure Laura and all our other family and friends that have gone on, were there to greet and welcome her.  And I found some comfort in that.  I hope YOU find comfort in knowing she's in a better place, all happy and smiling that sweet smile of her's down on you and your family.

I love you and miss you and send my prayers to you and your family.
