

She was born July 14, 1934, in Los Angeles. She graduated from Alhambra High School, Occidental College in Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California School of Medicine.
Dr. Graves had a pediatric practice in Pasadena for more than 37 years.
She served on the staff of Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and was a volunteer associate professor at the University of Southern California School of Medicine Los Angeles General Medical Center.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alhambra for more than 70 years, and served in many volunteer capacities, including serving as the church membership clerk until 2020.
She was a resident of Atherton Homes in Alhambra for 25 years.
Dr. Graves volunteered as part of the medical staff at Camp Conrad Chinnock, a camp for children with Type 1 diabetes in the San Bernardino Mountains, for at least 50 years. She had served as a board member for the camp’s parent organization, Diabetes Camping and Educational Services.
Survivors include her four children and their spouses: Karen and Jim Carlisle, Deanne and Dennis Martin, Kirk and Jenny Graves, and David Graves and Sheila McKee; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 21, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m., at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Garden of Affection, Whittier.
A memorial service is scheduled on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 10:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church Alhambra, 101 S. Atlantic Blvd., Alhambra.
