Deron Christin Rouse-Wells was born March 6, 1966 in San Diego, California to Ester Rouse-Wells Wilson and Harvey Hasten Wells. Deron was ready and eager for life. His big sister Melba Suzette and neighbor playmates would play with him a while then leave him to play outside. He started pulling himself up at 3 months trying to stand up to follow Melba Suzette and friends. He shrieked loudly with frustration until he finally could walk and follow the kids outdoors at 8 months old.
That eagerness to learn and accomplish his goals shone throughout his life.
He wanted to ride a two-wheeler at 3 years old. He and his older playmates removed the training wheels. After a day of crashes, bruises and bumps he mastered his orange two-wheeler he named Road Runner.
He was ecstatic running in to tell his mom and dad.
Deron attended Yellow Submarine Pre-School where he made lifelong friendships. He was a peacemaker with his friends resolving issues.
Deron attended Hardy Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High, then Crawford High School in San Diego, CA.
He received numerous awards and recognition for his moral character, sports accomplishments, academic endeavors and creative art and paintings.
At his Horace Mann graduation the speaker called him to the stage. He gave the family that look, I didn’t do anything. He was surprised to be presented First Place by the San Diego Unified School District for his oil painting of a building over the bay at Seaport Village. He received many positive reviews of his work.
As a young boy he was fortunate to have his Dad Harvey, a Computer Analyst who relished teaching the complexities of computers, coding and software. Deron had a very early start in the computer world. A professor at Pepperdine inquired how he know so much. Deron was pleased to tell him his Dad was an analyst in the early days.
Deron graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor’s Degree. His skill and talents opened up positions in Warner Bros, Disney, AMC Network and NHRA.
He enjoyed creating and managing businesses in the music industry.
Deron loved to travel. His Grandmother took him on many trips. He traveled to Europe a number of times. He also studied in London and spent time in Italy during his college days. He met and kept friends from those times. If you were a friend of his then you were a friend forever.
