

Cindy Hui Yu Chang, age 64, passed away at home on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 after battling breast cancer for several years. Cindy was the youngest of three siblings, born on August 16, 1961 in Taipei, Taiwan. After graduating from Chongguang Girls’ High School in 1980, Cindy traveled to San Francisco to explore the US, and continue her education. She eventually found her way into the real estate industry and put down roots in Southern California.
Cindy got her start in real estate working as a receptionist at Coldwell Banker. It was there that she met and married Jefferson Lee with whom she had two children, Robert and Ariel. Cindy later found enduring love with her life partner, Alan Gross. They shared many wonderful years together, raising kids, traveling, and laughing until Alan’s passing in 2003.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Chang Shi Hui and Chang Chong Yao Xin, brothers David and Freddie, her former husband, Jefferson Lee, and her life partner, Alan Gross. She is survived by her children, Robert and Ariel Lee, her grandchildren, Robbie, Mabel and Olive Lee.
A memorial service for Cindy Chang will be held at 9:00 AM on October, 23rd, 2025 at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA. Following the service, refreshments will be served in the Gardenview Reception from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
