Birth Date: February 18,1930
Date of Passing: September 14, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bernice Eileen Miller, aged 95, of Pasadena, California who left us on September 14, 2025, after a lengthy three-year illness. Her family was with her throughout and she fought bravely up until the end. By God’s grace, the most challenging of this three-year period was only during the past three months and her final three weeks on Earth.
Bernice was a devout Christian and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, CA for 56 years. Although ready to ascend into heaven, she loved life and was determined to stay with us as long as God wanted her too.
Bernice was born on February 18,1930, in New York, New York to Henry Frank and Hermine Frank. She attended New York City Public Schools and graduated from High School in 1948 and thereafter enrolled in Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY).
She is survived by her children Denise Rowland (Skip), Bob Miller (Barbara), Richard Miller (Cristina) and grandchildren Richard Miller, Jr. (Heather), Christopher Miller (Jackie), Matthew Miller (Nelly), April Mayberry (Keith), and Nicole Dobson (Matthew) and 13 great grandchildren.
On March 18, 1951, Bernice married the love of her life, Robert L. Miller (Bob) and together they brought into the world three children. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Bob in 1990. Three years later she met Harold McLintock and for 18 years they were loving and faithful companions until his death in 2011.
Bernice will be remembered for being an incredible daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to people she knew as well as acquaintances. She was a woman of great intelligence and deep and abiding faith and was dearly loved by all as she was simply a caring and loving person that would do anything she could to be of-service. She loved her Christian faith and lived it passionately every day.
Memorial and graveside services will occur on September 30, 2025, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier California commencing at 11:00 am in the Hillside Chapel.
The family would like to express their gratitude to three incredible assisted living and long-term care facilities and their amazing teams – The Kensington in Sierra Madre, and Monte Vista Grove Homes and The Californian in Pasadena. Each in their own caring and unique ways made moms’ final years the most comfortable and happy possible. Special thanks to The Californian who helped Bernice through her final 10 months and into God’s loving hands. Bernice will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
