He lived in the infamous Nuevo Laredo, Mexico before immigrating to the United States and arrived January 4th, 1954. He moved to California when he was 18 years old. Benjamin was so full of life and everywhere he went he lit up the room. He was highly intelligent, wise, independent, and strong. He worked until the very end because it kept him cognitively sharp and gave him a purpose. He loved waking up and getting his day started early by taking his dogs for a walk, managing an apartment building, and tending to his lovely garden. He was one of a kind and anyone who encountered his spirit was blessed. Benjamin lived a unique and incredibly special life. He was loved and admired by his family whom he shared a special bond with. He left such a huge impact on the lives he touched, and his legacy will continue to live on for the generations to come.
Siblings Nicolasa Ramirez Hernandez, Francisco Ramirez, and Maria Ramirez Tapia preceded Benjamin in death.

He is also survived by a family he looked after for 34 years. A daughter Linda, grandchildren Vivian, Marco, and Rosie, and great grandchildren Benjamin, Belle, Isaac, Blake, and Jett, and two dogs Daisy and Cocita.
