

Anna Pauline Collins of San Pedro, CA went to be with the lord on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the age of 86. She passed away peacefully of natural causes surrounded by friends and family. She spent her last several weeks at Aunt Mona’s Care Home in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, preceded by the previous 3 years at Harbor Terrace Assisted living facility in San Pedro, CA. She received incredible compassionate care from these two facilities for which the family is eternally grateful. She was preceded by her late husband of 30 years, Laurance Collins, who passed in December of 2022. She is survived by her children Sherrie James of Big Pine, CA, Michael Woods of Knoxville, TN, Sandra Magana of Rolling Hills Estates, CA, and Yvette Robertson of Newton, NC.
She was born on January 19,1939 in Reedsville, West Virginia, but spent most of her adult life in San Pedro, CA. She began pursuing a nursing degree in 1966 earning an LVN license in September of 1968. She began her LVN nursing career at San Pedro Hospital, and 6 years later earned an RN license in 1974. She worked for the next four decades in various nursing positions until she retired in 2012.
Anna married her first husband, Charles Ray Woods, in September of 1958 and was married to him until his passing in October 1964. They lived in Blythe, CA and she had four children, Sherrie Anna, Michael Ray, Sandra Lea, and Yvette.
She married her second husband of 20 years, William Eynon, in April of 1968, where they lived together in San Pedro, California until 1979, and in Eugene Oregon until his passing in May of 1988, returning to San Pedro, CA, soon thereafter.
She married her third husband of 30 years, Laurence Collins, in August 1992, and lived together in Carson, CA, until his passing in December of 2022.
Anna will be remembered for her artistic ability and her passion for scrapbooking which she has passed on to her two daughters Sherrie and Sandra. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, country music, and line dancing. She was a member of the County Western Dance Academy for several years with her husband Larry and they actively participated as volunteers at the Banning Museum in Wilmington, CA, including guided tours as docents in costumes of the 1800’s.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA. 90601.
