Mrs Kwan was an avid gardener and spent many hours and days in the garden until she could no longer stand up for long hours. Mrs Kwan also cared for her grand daughter Alyson for 3 years until Alyson went to preschool. During the 3 years, they would watch Sesame Street and sing along to various children songs. In her most recent years enjoyed window gazing with her trusty loyal companion Chocolate Kwan-Lo. Mrs Kwan encouraged Chocolate to stay alert and bark at the mailman Steve, or the passerby's walking their dogs and the many people that handed out fliers in the neighborhood. Chocolate also spent time cleaning the floor beneath Mrs Kwan after her daily meals. On one major occasion back in October 12, 2013, Mrs Kwan had a big fall in the kitchen bumping her head on a corner. Luckily she was awaken by Chocolate's bark and scratch while Alyson dial 911., Chocolate enjoyed his friendship with Mrs Kwan so much that in December when she missed waking up by 8:30, he would go into her bedroom to scratch at her bedside to wake her up. On days when she didn't acknowledge his wake up methods, he would lie by her bedside and waited for her to get up from bed and out to the dining room. Mrs Kwan enjoyed taking walks around the block, to Target, to the Chinese Market, or being driven around town. Mrs Kwan also enjoyed bantering with her grandchildren Alyson and Angelina or watching those famous Los Angeles car chases.
Mrs Kwan is a loving, kind, and witty Mother, and Grandmother. Mrs Kwan loves all of her children unconditionally and would always lend a helping hand whenever asked.
May Mrs Kwan rest in peace in her long journey
