I feel fortunate to be counted as one of Vincent’s friends. As I, like you all, pause to pay a personal tribute to the dear friend who is now with the Lord. 
Anna, Tim, Mandy, children, and other members of the Kong family - 
We mourn Vincent Kong's death, but we are grateful for his life. 
He exemplified what millions of parents hoped that their sons would be: strong, courageous, honest, and compassionate. He had courage toward adversity, moderation in success, and he was a loyal and generous friend. 
He was a loving husband to his wife Anna, and a wonderful role model to his son Tim. He has always loved his wife. He has always loved his son Tim, Tim’s wife Mandy, and their children Sarah and Caleb. 
Vincent’s life principle was “Do your best and leave the rest to God.” 
By God’s grace he had been able to do his best. He met and married his soul mate Anna. Together …. 
1. They built up a thriving gemstone business. My niece bought the diamond for her engagement ring from them. She and her dad, that is my older brother, call Vincent the “diamond king”. 
2. They brought into the world an amazing son in Tim. 
3. They wholeheartedly support Tim in his chosen career. 
4. They have a devoted daughter-in- law in Mandy. 
5. They have two adorable grandchildren in Sarah & Caleb. 
6. He was an ordained deacon in FCBCFV since Feb. 2002, serving faithfully & capably. He gave generously to God’s work. 
7. He and Anna were the most gracious host and hostess. 
8. We will miss Vincent beyond measure, both for his contribution and for his love and kindness. Vincent’s kindness, generosity, and thoughtful take on the issues of the day made FCBCFV a better place, and made all of us better workers. 
We can almost hear him, with the poet, say, 
“Sunset and evening star, 
And one clear call for me! 
Twilight and evening bell 
And after that the dark! 
And may there be no sadness of farewell 
When I embark” 
Goodbye for now, until we meet at Jesus’s feet again. O, Vincent, my friend!

Anna, Tim, and Family.
We are very glad that we got to know and serve with Vincent while he was on this earth. Vincent was a very caring, funny, encouraging , and smart man.  We will miss him dearly and we look forward to seeing him again someday.  But the most important aspect of his life that we will always remember was his devotion to God and to the church.  We know he was always busy with his business but he always made time for God first in his life. 
We pray that God will bring you strength and comfort at this time

Brother Vincent will always be remembered warmly.  We are so grateful to God for him and Anna, and Tim too, as they have shared their love for Christ and love for all of us in so many ways over these years.  We thank the Lord for the legacy our brother Vincent has left behind, of faithfulness and kindness, of joy in the Spirit and full trust in God through it all.  He will be missed, and we will look forward to our blessed reunion with him in heaven above!

We are so thankful for the life of Vincent Kong.  He and Anna were such a huge blessing to our family and both of our parents during the good times and also the tough times.  Vincent's example of faithful service will live on in the lives of those he touched.  We were so fortunate and blessed to have known him!

I was so saddened to hear of Vincents' passing today.  I am so sorry to the family for your loss.  He was such a young man.

I will always remember Vincent for his integrity and sense of humor.  He and Anna always were always dressed to the "t".  What a beautiful couple.  I am so sorry Anna for your unimaginable loss.  Vincent carried on his business with such expertise and fine taste.  If you needed something beautiful and exquisite - "call Vincent and Anna" -  was what everyone says.
