For the past two and a half years, my branch and I had the privilege of assisting him with his daily transactions. He was more than a Member to us; he was part of our routine and our hearts. He would always walk in singing a melody, greet us by name, and share a story about his beloved dog.
One memory that always brings a smile to me is the day he said he needed to make a withdrawal for his dog’s groomer. He explained that his dog cried whenever he took him out, so he found a groomer who would come to his home so his dog wouldn’t cry anymore. I remember teasing him and saying, “I think he’s messing with you; I think he just doesn’t want to go out and is tricking you.” From the teller line all the way to the door, he couldn’t stop laughing. I don’t think I ever saw him laugh that much.
He will always hold a special place in our hearts. He was our regular Member, and his warmth and kindness will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed.
