I cannot believe this is happening. This is not a goodbye, it’s a see you later. Thank you for being the BEST grandma ever! I’m truly going to miss you so much. Im going to miss you randomly texting or calling me asking me “ what do you need?” “ what do you want?” “ send me something you want” or you just buying me something because you thought of me and you would tell me “ I’ll be here tomorrow “. I’m going to miss walking in your room and you saying I look so pretty and my hair looks gorgeous whenever I got it done. I’m going to miss my dad calling me out my sleep asking “ can you take grandmommy something to eat?” It was always a YES…. Wouldn’t even hesitate . Whenever my mom cooked the first person to come in mind was always YOU and I’ll always bring you something to eat. You were the SWEETEST and always so THOUGHTFUL & so LOVING.  I could officially say I am TRULY HURT by this loss! Everybody knows I was YOUR BABY, YOUR PUDDIN! Always told me “ you don’t have to leave, you could stay, you could spend the night.” I won’t forget us watching the young and the restless ( that theme song is forever stuck in my head) & us playing ball & me getting up on your bed & you telling Thomas to let me watch TV whenever I came over on the weekends   I’m so happy I got to spend your last days with you & got the most memories with you. But I am so hurt that you had to go, I wasn’t ready … I love you so much & I’m going to miss you even more!!! I hate that this happened it’s going to be so weird with you not around & me not hearing your voice anymore :( . I hope you visit me in my dreams & make me smile. I’ll continue to make you proud.

Mrs. Tommie Beatrice Walton and I worked together at Compton Unified School District from the time of my employment in 1992 until she retired.  I was greeted into the District by her gentle warm smile and her soft sense of humor. These characteristics helped make my transition smooth. Coming to work with Mrs. Walton and other coworkers in the office was like coming home to a family environment.
Mrs. Walton was as a dedicated employee who took great pride in her work. 
She and I shared the first name of “Tommie”, which is a bit unusual for two females in a relatively small office. 
It was obvious that Mrs. Walton loved, nurtured and supported her family and received the same in return from her family.
I pray that God will continue to bless the family and that the memory of Mrs. Walton will continue to be a blessing to us all.
May she rest in peace.

I miss you so much. You were such a blessing in my life, always showing me love, kindness, and warmth. I will forever cherish our laughter, our talks, and the beautiful memories we shared. Thank you for everything—you will always be in my heart.
