May 26, 1961 - April 25, 2017
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce, at the age of 55, the untimely passing of our beloved "Tommy," a cherished husband, devoted father, Grandpa, God Father, brother, and son. He joined our Heavenly Father Tuesday morning April 25, 2017 with his wife of 34 years Lydia Pacheco, and children by his side.
He was born May 26, 1961 in Los Angeles CA. As a child, his Father describes him as strong, bright, and resilient. Growing up Tom Jr. acquired a nickname, "Smoochie" given to him by his Aunts for being such a lovable, and sweet child. Still gentle and kind, growing up he was admired for his strength, diligence, and protectiveness of his siblings. He graduated from Sierra High school in 1979.
It was in that time, upon her front door step, he met the love of his life, Lydia. They dated four years until they were married as best friends on June 26, 1982; and to that union, four children were born: Gabriel, Marlene, Jeremy, Jordan - and later on in life blessed with Shawn. Although both shared strong family ties and history in Whittier, Tom and Lydia chose to raise their family in Fontana CA. He was an extremely proud husband and father - loving his family and watching it grow was his life's joy. He worked hard to provide for his family and others. After college Tom had a long and successful career as an accountant 35 years for prestigious companies such as CBS, United Artists, MGM, and the Directors Guild of America. He was admired by so many for his intelligence, unbounded generosity and thoughtfulness of others, along with the strong love and respect for his family - a true patriarch.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia F. Pacheco; five children, Gabriel, Marlene (Son In Law Nick), Jeremy, Jordan, and Shawn; grandchildren, Edwin, Mikaela, Audrina (Bella), Nicholas (Krush), Josiah, Aniya, Gianna, and Angelina (Rose); four god children; Johnny, Amber, Roy, Nadia, Shawn and many nieces and nephews; his father Thomas A. Pacheco and five siblings; Micheal, Lazaro, Rachel, Andrew, and Nicolas. He is proceeded in death by his Mother Rachel Rosanne Pacheco whom he loved, admired and cherished all his life.
