Thomas Richard Cox

Tom led an adventurous life, both before his marriage in 1984 to Amy, and after. He was open-minded and fun-loving, more than willing to try new things and go new places, and deeply intellectual. Starting out as a political scientist for the Central Intelligence Agency, he later went to law school and worked for Miller Canfield in Detroit, Michigan. Tom and Amy traveled all over the world, both for work and for enjoyment. One of his favorite trips was for his 25th wedding anniversary: a long trip to Switzerland, the French Alps, and the south of France. He leaves a loving wife of 38 years, Amy, and two beloved daughters, Penelope and Amelia. He will be deeply missed by his sister Barbara of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, brother-in-law Matthew Majeske of New York, New York, mother-in-law Penelope Majeske of Troy, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mildred, his sister Mary Cox, his sister Mitzi Waehner and her husband James Waehner, his brother-in-law Michael Durkin and his brother-in-law Nicholas Majeske.
