It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tabita Marquez. She was born in Mexicali, Mexico, on April 4, 1942. Her family eventually moved to Tijuana when she was five years old. She immigrated to the United States in 1967.
She met her husband, Modesto, in the apartments that her sister managed in the city of Huntington Park.
They married in 1968 and welcomed their first child, Alex, in January of 1970.
They lived in different cities in Los Angeles County before settling in the city of Ontario in 1987.
Tabita dedicated her work as an assembler at a bakery for approximately twenty years. She then moved on and was employed by Farmers Insurance where she ended her career. In 2009, she retired to care for her first grandchild, Sebastian. Another grandchild, Sabrina, was born in 2011.
One of her greatest satisfactions was caring for her grandchildren and being around her family.
Tabita is survived by her husband, her son and two grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rose Hills Mortuary, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601. A funeral service for Tabita will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - Hillside Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601.
Tabita will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Garden of Solace; Gate: 1, Section: 6, Lot: 3317, Grave: 2.
