I first met Steve during a deployment to Iraq. He had been in country a few months and quickly taught me the ropes of how the combat support hospital worked. We wound up as roommates and I give him credit for helping me get through that deployment.  Always kind and a great friend, so very sorry for the loss.

I'm very saddened to hear of Dr. Hong's passing. I was his patient from the beginning of my pregnancy up until now (20 weeks). He was very thorough in answering any questions or concerns I had, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was very kind. He spoke very fondly of his family and I'm sure he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with them through this difficult time. I don't think I will find a better doctor, may he rest in paradise. 

I worked with Dr Hong in Marshall Mo. He was always kind and compassionate with his patients. He will be missed.

I am so sad to hear this news. Steve was an OB resident at Tripler Army Medical Center and was such a light for all that knew him. He was always kind and gentle with patients and colleagues alike. He also had a wonderful sense of humor.  His family is in our prayers.  A great man gone too soon.

Although, we only met you a few months ago, when you began working at TCC Family Health with us, it felt like years. Your warm and kind spirit was unlike anyone else. You will forever live in our hearts! ❤️ Isela

I am devastated to hear about Steve's passing.  I knew Steve from our Army time at Fort Carson, Colorado.  He and I had even made some very vague plans, never acted upon, to start a private practice on the Central Coast of California some time in the future, where I now live.  When I heard that Steve had moved back to Orange County, I actively tried to recruit him to come and join us.  We wined and dined him and did everything we could to get him to join us, but to no avail. This was unsuccessful as he wanted to be near his family to help raise his children.  Steve was smart, compassionate, worked hard, a great teacher, a trusted voice and a good friend.  He was someone you could always count on.  I am heartbroken at his passing, for his kids, his family, his community, for all of us.
