This makes me very sad.  My mother, Mavis Bonus loved Dr. Lin.  She died 2 years after Dr Lin at age 86. Dr. Lin was so cute and adorable. I'm so sorry she passed away at so young.

Dr. Lin was my Dr. for 10 years. .  She is an amazing Dr. ready to listen compassionately and she is  extremely knowledgeable.  If she didn’t know the answer to something she was humble and always got back to me with an answer.  She would personally call and talk to me.  I really love her and hold her dear in my heart.  You could tell her parents did an awesome job.  I miss her so much.

I had a health scare last week; the 2 people I yearned for to talk to were my Mom and Dr. Lin. I knew she would have been comforting and caring and would do her best to put my fears aside for at least a minute. No Dr. will ever replace her level of care, compassion and empathy.

I remember the day learning about Dr Stacey Lin's passing and I cried at my desk. Still to this day I think about her and this great loss. That's the level of impact she had on her patients. Reading the notes here, I echo every single one. She was more than a Doctor, she was your trusted friend / mom each time you went into her office, you knew you were in good hands. Each time you went in with worries, she listened with compassion and gave you advice, and remembered the next time you visited. I can only imagine the lives touched in her inner circle. As just a patient, she made a huge mark in the world and still greatly missed. May God lift you up to His Kingdom and you forever be in His warmth and presence with the light you carried. Your light shined bright.

8/25/24 - although you were my Doctor, i considered you a friend, and I miss you.

Even today on July 12, 2024, I still miss my amazing kind-hearted Dr. Dr Stacey Lin was so warm and caring, always made time for my questions and concerns, and was very thorough in her medical care. She gave so much patience with my anxiety around being a cancer survivor and offered tremendous support and compassion. I was her patient for a decade and trusted her wholeheartedly. Sending deep care and best wishes to Dr Lin's family, friends, peers, and patients. She is deeply missed by many.

Dr. Lin was my doctor for many years.  I had seen  her just days before she passed.  She was so patient with me , kind and understanding.  I miss talking to her and seeing that beautiful smile. Rest in peace Dr. Lin.

My mother was Mavis Bonus and she just loved Dr Lin, a cute bubbly little thing she'd call her. I am her daughter, Debbie and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Lin when I moved in with her to help take care of my Mother's dementia.  Dr Lin cared about everyone.  She knew my Mom had dementia back in 2018 even though Mom disagreed.  She got afraid of Dr Lin after years being with her only because she knew she'd take her license away which she did.  That was for my mother's safety and others.  I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My mother died last month 9-21-2023 so maybe they will meet again. I'm very sorry for not only the community's loss but the the family's loss too.

I am so missing Stacey right now.  I recently had a health scare.  I've been bounced around from specialty to specialty with no word from my PCP or anyone covering for her.  Stacey would have commanded control over the situation and ensured that I saw the right people and educated me so I didn't freak out.  She would have guided them and set a plan of action.  Even now, I have two specialties pointing the finger at the other.  It turns out it's not super serious, but when they say you don't know what you have until it's gone ... that is very true.   My condolences to her family and friends, as I am sure they continue to miss her guidance, advice and friendship as I do.

She was a great doctor to my mother and we still think of her. 

It’s July, 2022 & I just found out of the passing of mine & my daughter’s PCP, Dr. Stacey Lin. She was our doctor for years, and helped us navigate our life milestones and all the curveballs my chronic illness sent my way. She was such a beautiful soul, spent time explaining what was happening, and we often shared a hearty laugh together. I moved away a few years ago, but have been trying to get down to San Diego  to say hello to her. We found out by chance of her passing, and we’re both so sad for Dr. Lin’s mother & sister. She was the best doctor I’ve ever had, and I considered her a friend as well as my trusted & much admired physician. RIP, sweet lady.

I am currently in the hospital after having back surgery on Wednesday. I have been thinking about Stacey a lot since I have been in here. I have shared her story with my nurses here. Stacey was such a big part of my life for 16 years.  I cannot believe how much I still miss her and how much of an impact she made on me during those years.  I hope that we all were able to give something back to her? Thank you sweet lady for being such a beautiful human being.  ♥️

What a loss.  Dr. Lin was a good doctor.  I was going to make an appt. and saw that she passed!  She tried to help me about 18 years ago when I got crippled from a flu vaccine at Tri City Hospital.  She treated me politely and respectfully which was more than the other 12 doctors.   Also, she did not pester for TESTING to work the insurance like so many clinics do.

Are used to tell Dr. Lynn that I would rather wear out then rust out. She said to me years later that she repeated that to her mother. Dr. Lynn  had help me with my diabetic problems. She was always interested in making my life last longer. She will be greatly missed. She was my favorite doctor.  I had moved and just found out about it her passing away. I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Stacey Lin. She was truly a light of grace and joy through her smile, her positive energy, her genuine kindness and empathetic heart to serving patients. I was one of those patients over the last 15+ years from well before the birth of my son, to sharing my life of marriage, childbirth, divorce and all the in-between. She made her room feel safe and personable, that you were her friend as well as in her trusted hands, something many family doctors lack today in warm human connection. She will be deeply missed and I cry sitting here today learning that I can't book an appointment and know, oh great that exam won't as bad since I'll be seeing Dr. Lin and can't wait to catch up. Stacey was not only my Doctor but she was a  dear, dear friend who supported me through one of the most challenging moments of my life as her patient. When I walked into her office, I knew that I was going to be welcomed into her space warmly, acknowledged and heard. I felt so much trust and compassion radiating from her heart and soul and I know all her other patients felt it also. I felt incredibly grateful to have Stacey in my life as part of my support network. I will forever miss her. xx

Dr. Lin has been our family doctor for 16 years. She was the first doctor appointment after the birth of my first son and again after my second. She saw my husband and I as well. Dr Lin always had a smile on her face. She knew about our history and so when she would come into the room she would ask how we all were. I loved that she was so personable. We would sometimes talk story for 10 mins before or after the actual reason why one of us was there and it made me feel not only was she my doctor, but a friend. I was devastated to get that letter in the mail about her passing. She was so full of life and was so eager to help others. When my second son was born, she would carry him around the office, taking him to all the nurses and doctors and show him off. She loved my kids,  I would even give her school pictures. I'm going to miss her terribly. Love and condolences to her mother and sister, friends and coworkers.

Stacey is already so missed by me, just finding out today of her passing. Dr. Lin has been my primary doctor for 20 years, she was the girlfriend that I could talk to about anything, and I shared so many details about my life with her. I thought she would be there whenever I decided to deal with things bothering me. I feel as though I lost a family member and will keep her loving feelings with me always. I wish all that will miss her, great memories!

In hindsight, I took for granted that Dr. Lin was going to be the provider to usher me into the aging process and deliver with her usual grace, compassion and humor whatever news that would bring. Never would I have dreamed that I would be writing here. I will forever miss her laughter and voice that always seemed a bit too loud (in the very best way) for a doctor’s office. I will miss the way she remembered my favorite things and asked about them. And I am grateful that she never, ever dropped the ball on my care, making me a healthier, happier mother than I would have otherwise been. If we had met under other circumstances than doctor/patient, I know that we would have been friends, as she was just the kind of person I would want to be friends with. I met Dr. Stacey Lin 17 years ago when searching for a new Dr in North County. As we were very close in age, I felt an immediate connection with her. Her smile and twinkling eyes lit up a room, her warm and compassionate demeanor soothed your soul. She always carefully listened, offered excellent advice and guidance, just as a friend would.  She had a great sense of humor and even when you were sick, she brought a smile to your face. She was truly an incredible doctor and human being.  My sincerest condolences go out to her family.  We were all blessed and grateful to have her in our lives, if even for a small part of our earthly journey.  Dr. Lin, you are truly one in a million and I pray we meet again. ❤️

Dr Lin was my physician for 10 years.  Every time she saw me she was friendly and warm, like a caring friend but of course with the knowledge and professionalism of an excellent doctor. One year was particularly stressful for me and when I came in she asked how I was and I cried. She asked what was wrong and sat for 10 minutes while I talked, didn’t rush me, just listened with compassion. I’ll never forget her kindness. She will be missed.

I first met Stacey in my freshman English class w/ Mrs. Muilenberg at PVHS (Class of ‘89). Originally, I felt kind of intimidated by her b/c I knew she was really smart, she knew all our classmates, but seemed aloof to me, a stranger. And I recall she loved to wear black. But as the year progressed, we got to know and better understand each other and had a lot of mutual friends. By the end of our freshman year, I got to meet and know the real Stacey and glad we were able to keep in touch on Facebook, discussing events ranging from healthcare policies, some of her strange medical cases, to Debbie Reynolds and professional tennis. 

We last jibed about our 30-yr HS Reunion and how she wanted to but couldn’t attend. 

So sorry we missed you there Stacey.

Dr. Lin was my primary care physician for over ten years.  During that time Dr. Lin always listened to my concerns, always went the extra mile to figure out what might be going on with my health and always made sure I received whatever test or referral was needed. Dr. Lin always greeted me with a smile, a laugh and a twinkle in her eyes. She obviously enjoyed helping people. Losing her was like losing a bit of my heart and I will forever miss her.
For me her great skill as a Doctor is only eclipsed by her ability to relate to her patients. Better put, as she made well our bodies so also did her kindness enrich and make whole our hearts which in the end is even a greater accomplishment.

Stacy Lin was my doctor for 20 years. She was the best and kindest  doctor I  have ever known. She was always so uplifting, and shared helpful, sage advice when ever I shared any trouble I was experiencing with her.  I credit her with saving my life. Ten years ago, Dr. Lin noticed my white blood cell count was elevated. She kept after me to come in again in 2 months for a recheck, and then again in another two months when my numbers were still high. Dr. Lin referred me to an oncologist who confirmed I had CML, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Because Dr. Lin caught the elevated white blood cell count early, my disease never developed to the acute phase, sparing me from Chemotherapy and an early death. I stayed with Scripps, because I never wanted to lose her as my physician. She really was the best, on so many levels. I will miss her for  the rest of my life. God Bless you Stacey Lin. Rest in Peace.

My heart is broken with the devastating news of Stacey’s death. I became her patient as she came right out of medical school and started her career as a MD. I was referred to her by my best friend who is also a MD . Stacey was more than a great doctor. She was one of the kindest souls who lived on this earth. She had the most beautiful smile which lite up as soon as you saw her . She was so caring , patient, to all of her patients. She was also a dear friend who helped me numerous times in my life as a friend.My life will never be the same without her in it. I have already shared what an amazing doctor Dr Stacey Lin was.  I still can’t believe she’s gone.   Such a beautiful soul,  I wanted to share a quick story.  I love almond filled croissants.  We got on this subject and she told me where to find the most amazing ones in Encinitas at a French bakery.  She then paused, laughing saying she probably shouldn’t be telling me where to buy these fattening treats as my doctor.  A passing guilt where we got a small chuckle.  You will be so missed. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Lin. I worked with her at Scripps when she first started. Even then you could tell she was going to be an amazing doctor. She was a beautiful soul and always had a smile. To her mom and sister, I’m so sorry for your loss. May the memories of her and how much she was loved by everyone who knew her help you through this time. 

My heart absolutely shattered after receiving the letter from Scripps of Dr. Lin’s passing.  Dr. Lin had been my primary care physician for (I believe) her entire career at Scripps Coastal and I consider myself immensely fortunate to have had such a compassionate, genuine and caring advocate in my corner.  I have a hard time imagining starting a  doctor/patient relationship with someone new as she set the bar so high for those to follow.  I will miss her positive and caring outlook, her “light up the room smile” as well as her laugh and nose crinkle.  Maybe it was just me that got the nose crinkle, I wasn’t always an easy patient to doctor to.  To say that the world has lost a great one is truly an understatement.  Sincere condolences to the Lin Family and to all those that are grieving her loss.

Dr. Lin has been my PCP for nearly 20 years...ever since I was 18.  I had an appointment scheduled with her the week after her passing.  To say I was shocked when I received the phone call that she had suddenly passed would be an understatement.  I wish I had the opportunity to see her bright, beautiful smile just one more time.  She was always so kind and compassionate, funny, upbeat.  I hated doctor appointments but I always looked forward to my annual visit with her.  She was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed. She was a truly exceptional doctor and human being, so smart, kind, patient, funny with a beautiful and generous smile. Just being in her presence was healing. Rest in peace, dear Stacey. Sorry for the long, rambling post. This is just my way of saying goodbye…

Stacey and I were college roommates for three years at Cal Berkeley. We survived the Loma Prieta Quake of 1989 and the Oakland Hills Firestorm of 1991, all while students at Cal. We enjoyed our “dorm days” with our floor mates, who became our extended family in college. We played “Hearts” while Paula Abdul played in the background. We watched “The Simpsons” when it was new. Yes, we are that old. Stacey was a great roomie and friend, always smiling that great smile, and always funny and warm. When I read how all of her patients described her, so warm and caring, I can totally understand. 

It was harder to stay in touch back then. It was before Facebook, or email, or cell phones. So all we had were our parent’s phone numbers after college. Luckily, we all ended up on Facebook eventually, and it kept us “in the know” at least. I enjoyed seeing posts of Stacey’s fun excursions to tennis tournaments and her cute “Auntie” pix with her niece and nephew. We messaged each other constantly for a while over a new shared obsession: Twilight books, and then the movies. We talked about getting together for a reunion one day in SoCal…I wish that could’ve happened…

One day, a couple of years ago, I got a random accidental text from Stacey. It was soooo not meant for me…but for a “love interest.” I told her she was lucky I wasn’t her mom! We laughed about it, and I was glad we connected again, even if by accident. She promised to send a “mistake” text again. 

I can’t believe that you’re gone, way too soon. Before we could have that reunion. Before I could see that big smile in person again. From what I see, you have made a HUGE difference in this world to your patients, family, and friends. I hope you are at peace knowing how much you were loved and cherished.

It is with the greatest sadness that I received this news.  I was very good friends with Stacey at Berkeley and always loved our wonderful conversations.  This world is less bright with her passing.  I am so sad for all of our loss and my heart especially goes out to her family.  I'm so very sorry.  Stacey was an incredible person who was loved widely and deeply.

Dr. Lin was just 2 years older than me and my doctor for about 20 years. I was truly devastated when I called to make an appointment and they informed me of her passing. I would always tell people what an amazing doctor I had and we were so close in age, we could really relate to each other. I tend to be an anxious patient at times and she NEVER made me feel like I asked too many questions or took up too much time. She was born to be a doctor. I know her family already knows what a wonderful person she was, but from a patients perspective, she was a rock for so many of us. I will miss her dearly. May she rest in peace with God. 

Dr. Lin has been my PCP for several years now, and I am devastated by the news of her passing. She was not only an exceptional doctor, she was an incredible human being. 

When I broke my leg severely and the primary surgeon dropped the ball, she came to the rescue, and she did it because she wanted to give me the best care even though it wasn’t her mistake. 

I will always be eternally grateful for her incredible care for me and my husband. Rest In Peace Dr. Lin.

Dr.  Lin was my doctor for nearly 20 years, I started seeing her when I was 16, I am now a mother of 3 children. She was always an extension of my family & I already miss her. She was kind, calm, and always willing to listen. She was also my grandpas doctor for years and whenever I would go see her, we spent time chatting about him. Dr. Lin was my PCP for 15 years.  She saved my life. I have never had a Dr that cared about me and advocated for me like Dr. Lin did. I am devastated and my gratefulness for her is beyond words. She was beautiful, warm, wise and always, always compassionate. She was a gift to her patients. Truly. I will never forget her. I will honor her by  living the advice she gave to me and I will remember the guidance she gave me forever. May she Rest in Peace. Truly, a Beautiful soul.

I opened the letter on Saturday and my heart truly sank.  I’ve been trying to find the words ever since to honor what Dr. Lin meant to her patients.  

The first time I visited her, I had been slipping through the cracks of the healthcare system for several months.  She went out of her way to help me, and by doing so, restored my good health.  I was only 22.  I never forgot that. When someone advocates for you at your most vulnerable moment, there’s a gratitude that can’t be put into words.  I don’t remember if I ever tried to, but I remained her patient for all these years.

It is true what people are saying about her warmth, knowledge, good humor and compassion.  I don’t think you can call what Dr. Lin did for her patients every day a job—I think it was an act of love.  There are good doctors, and there are great doctors.  Stacey Lin was in a class of her own; I was lucky to call her my doctor.  May she Rest In Peace, and may her loved ones find some comfort in having the light that she shared reflected back on them. 

Dr.Lin was my PCP for over 15 years. I saw her for my physical right before she passed. My heart is broken, she was such a caring, compassionate doctor. She always put me at ease with her smile and spent as much time as needed listening to my concerns. My deepest condolences to her family. She will be so missed!

Dr Lin was more than a Dr and truly feel as if I have lost a very close friend. She was caring, understanding, compassionate and truly cared about my well being. I’ve been at a loss for words since I found out. I have cried for days and I’m trying to make sense of it all. Words can not describe the sorrow both my husband and I feel. RIP beautiful Dr. Lin; heaven might have gained an amazing Angel but your loss will be felt on earth for a long time.

Years ago when my last doctor left the practice I was placed in the care of Stacey and I knew that I won the lottery when it came to doctors. She has been my doctor for over 15 years and I am so grateful. When I got the news last Friday of her passing I was gutted and feel the same today, I spent most of the weekend in tears. This last year I saw Stacey more , as I had been having some health challenges and every appointment I spent with her a valuable experience. Stacey was an absolute gift to me and to all who were fortunate enough to be her patients, I can't believe she is gone. Stacey walked into the examining room every time like she was visiting an old friend. I don't remember my last doctors name and I will never forget Dr. Stacey Lin. Sending love and prayers to her family and friends, what a loss. Peace to you Stacey, you are gone too soon.

I had both the pleasure and privilege to have worked alongside Dr. Lin for the last 7 years, basically my entire NP career. She was my mentor and colleague, but most of all, she was my friend. She set the bar high when it came to patient care and I can attest to the fact that she truly cared for ALL of her patients. I will forever be amazed by her compassion, patience, and intellect and am so grateful for the time I had with her. I will carry her spirit and compassion with me always. This such a tremendous loss to the world. I miss you Dr. Lin, the office will never be the same without you there. May you Rest in Peace, my friend.  I’ll never forget you. ❤️

I received the horrible news about Dr. Lin's passing 4 days ago and I am still in disbelief.  She was such a wonderful doctor.  Always wore a smile and listened to what you have to say.  If I had met her under a different circumstance, I bet she would be a great friend.  I have been searching online every day trying to find out what happened to her.  If this has such a big impact on me, I can't imagine what her families are going through.  RIP Dr. Lin, you will be missed!   

I was devastated to learn of Dr. Lin's passing. She was the absoute best doctor I've ever had, and I had been seeing her for close to 12 years now. She was kind, compassionate, and caring, and I was always struck by how she always made me feel comfortable in any situation and never made me feel rushed when I came to visit her in the office. She made me feel like I had a doctor who truly cared for me. She was truly one of a kind and such an amazing person. I will miss her terribly. The world has lost a beautiful soul. To her family, I am so sorry to hear about this. Please know that Stacey Lin touched so many lives and made a huge positive impact on the world. 

My wife and I are so sorry about Dr. Lin passing away.  We had her as our primary doctor for many years and she was so helpful, caring and just a down to earth wonderful person.  She is missed and will always be missed.   We will always remember her, very special person.  May she rest in peace.

Dr.  Stacey Lin saved my life.  She  was the most trustworthy, down to earth, earth,and  compassionate Dr.    This is such a shock.  My condolences to her friends and family.  I am so sorry.  Heartbroken!

Dr. Lin was my doctor for many years, more then I can remember.  She was an amazing doctor with an infectious laugh that could be heard throughout the office.  My visits with her were a mix of health related things all while catching up with a friend about life, and the latest things going on in our lives.  Thank you Dr. Lin for all the years of health care, guidance, compassion and laughter.  You have made an imprint in my life that will last forever.  To her family, I am so sorry for your loss.  I hope you find comfort in knowing that she made such a difference in so many lives that will forever be touched, mine included.  She will never be forgotten. My heartfelt thoughts go out to you during this difficult time.  

My last appt with dr Lin was April 28 this year. I wish I had told her how much she meant to me during that appt. my daughter and are are devastated by this loss. She was the best doctor I have had in my 71 years of life. The.BEST. Doctor. And I’m sure the best friend and daughter to her family.   My appointment was a routine check up but dr Lin lingered when I discussed some chronic ailments and spent 45 minutes with me during the appt insisting on giving recommendations to ease my pain. I loved her! Wish I could tell her that today. 

Dr. Lin was my PCP for many years.  I absolutely loved her.  Not only was she an incredibly accomplished and skilled physician, but she had such positive energy and enthusiasm that I actually looked forward to going to my doctor appointments!  She will be missed tremendously, not only by me, but by many.  God Bless Dr. Lin and her family.

Dr. Stacey Lin was my doctor.  I just saw her a couple months ago for a check up, and I was struck, as I always am, at how lovely and caring she is.  I felt like I was on a coffee date, not a doctors visit.  Her soul was so beautiful and loving.  She was so honest and relatable. We talked about Covid and how careful she had been this past year and how she was planning a vacation for this Spring.  I am so sad that she is no longer with us.  Rest in peace and love, Dr. Stacey Lin.

Dr Stacey Lin was the best doctor I ever had. She was so warm and vibrant with a great sense of humor. An office visit with her was like a visit with a friend. She was my GP for over 15 years and I loved her so much that I took my elderly mother to her also. Our hearts are broken. We are both going to miss her so much.  My condolences to her family, friends and co-workers.

Dr. Lin was the best doctor I have ever had in my entire life. She helped carry me through some really difficult times, and always with compassion and the utmost care. How fortunate we all were to have her in our lives - she had the best smile and the biggest heart. Rest in peace, Dr. Lin.
