Sharon was married to Robert E. Donald AIAE Architect for 70 years. Sharon raised three brilliant children. Who grew up to be outstanding in their careers; Deborah Lynn Donald, James Earl Donald, and Robert John Donald. She has five grandchildren and five great grandchildren who are all brilliant. Sharon was born in Hannibal, MO on April 19, 1935 and joined gods’ family on September 19, 2023.
She planned many travel trips and created many excellent travel itineraries insuring that no major features would be missed. She directed a department of four people in the preparation of forms for FHA insurance which required construction cost estimating, financing, land value and, technical knowledge.
Many itineraries were created by Sharon V. Donald through researching many travel books written by companies that she admired and traveled with. She did not want to miss any special attractions.
Sharon was an excellent planner, director, manager, overseer, organizer, inspector. Sharon was a good person who could be counted on to accomplish any task. Sharon directed the construction management office for the Torrance Unified School District and saved them a lot of money by checking architects plans to avoid construction change orders and speed construction of schools,
She was an excellent construction inspector for the state of California Division of State Architecture (DSA). She read many books and was very knowledgeable. We all love and respect Sharons contributions to a better world.
