Rudy Thomas Garcia

Rudy Thomas Garcia, the real G, passed away at age 59 on September 2, 2024. He was born on February 8, 1965, in Southgate, California, and then moved to Norwalk, where he resided for the rest of his life. As a child growing up Rudy enjoyed playing with army men, cars in the dirt and loved wearing his boots playing Cowboys and Indians.

Rudy ran the streets of his neighborhood and earned many nicknames including Rude Dog, Rudelicious, G, G-ride, Rudeness, and many more. Rudy dressed to impress with the perfect outfits. He was always such a perfectionist especially when it came to his hair, it would sometimes take him an hour to make sure it was perfect. He loved his Aqua Net hairspray, Irish spring soap and musk cologne.

Rudy was also known for his eccentric personality and sense of humor. He always knew how to keep you on your toes and make you laugh. Rudy loved to play pranks on others, show off his latest trinkets and loved having a good time. He was also a man of many talents- Rudy was an artist, pianist, singer, carpenter, caretaker, animal lover, jokester, and much more.

Rudy wanted to become a veterinarian but instead became a carpenter. Everything he made was always so well done and stunning. He had a true talent for carpentry.

Throughout his life, Rudy touched many lives with his infectious laughter, smooth talk, generosity, kindness and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was a loving father, son, and friend. Without a doubt he loved his family, especially his 4 children.

Rudy Thomas Garcia (Dad) you will be truly missed, but now it is time to find out who let the dogs out and be a G in heaven.

Rudy is survived by his mother, Carmen Jarmellio; his children, Rudy Galindo, Oddica Jimenez, Matthew Garcia, and Samantha Lyon. His siblings, Robert Garcia and Carolyn Romero. Rudy had nine wonderful grandchildren. Rudy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park-Memorial Chapel, burial to follow. Rudy will be laid.
