What up Cuh!? Man, how fast time flies. I just came back from North Carolina the other day and on the way back, all I could think about it is you and how fast 3 years went by. They say time heals all wounds, but truth be told, it never fills the void or absence. So much has happened in 3 years bro. We had another baby, her name is Bella. She’s amazing! She’s 1 already. Chloe, turns 3 today. Her bday and this date will forever been tied to each other. She’s awesome man. You’d get a kick out of her. Mia, she turns 5 this year. You’d be so proud of her, she’s in soccer man. I know you’d be here for these games. She scored her first goal last Saturday. In fact, she scored 6 all the same day, her team won 6-5! I’ll swing by later today and share the video with you. Anyssa is doing amazing. Killing it on her report card. I’m happy to report that she’s a gamer, just like us man. She talks about you all the time. She always asks me whenever she gets a new game, “daddy, you think uncle Ruben would like this game?!” She never forgets you man! Me and Elyse talk about you all the time. We talk about funny moments, or how certain things remind us of you. Bro, every time I think of you, a hummingbird always appears. It stays close to me and comes near me. Hard to explain the encounters I have with them but I know you’re watching. I hope to make you proud man. I’m a District Manager now..crazy! These are the life moments I wish you could be part of. I know you’re around, somehow, some way. I love you Cuh!! See you later today!

…Rub, there will never be a considerable measurement to express how much I miss you. Nor can it be marginalized in any capacity. I literally think about you daily, I talk about you to someone all the time. 😔 I wish you would’ve met Chloe. She’s 2 now…super smart man. My condolences to the entire family. I just came back to Elite traffic and saw the memorial board. Ruben was a great coworker, foreman, person, but most importantly, a family man. Always a pleasure to have him come visit our job site and just be humble. Never seen him angry, but always rocked a smile. Our office banter was the best!! Guys like him made this job a camaraderie, a brotherhood. I will definitely pray for him and for his loved ones to find and have peace. It truly hurts that he’s gone. But it truly was a pleasure and honor that I got to know him.

I met Ruben when I came to their house to let our puppies play together. He was very warm and welcoming, you could tell he was a really good man. I'm so sorry for his family and friend's loss. May sorrow soon be replaced with loving memories.
