Roxanna Lee Darwin

Roxanna Lee Darwin passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a cherished nana, beloved great-nana, sister, aunt, and cousin.

Born on November 18, 1945. Roxanna lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She was the heart and soul of her family, always putting others before herself and providing a warm, welcoming home for all who entered. Her gentle spirit and unwavering support made her a beacon of light in the lives of those she loved.

Roxanna was married to her soulmate, Bobby, for 58 years. Together, they built a life filled with shared dreams, laughter, and deep affection. As a mother, she guided her children with wisdom and grace, always encouraging them to follow their passions and live life to the fullest. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she delighted in their accomplishments, always there to offer a hug, a word of advice, or a listening ear.

She had a love for Gardening, cooking for her beloved family, and cheering on her favorite team: the Los Angeles Dodgers; where she enjoyed decades of association with the staff and friends. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience—a true testament to the strength of her character.

Though she will be deeply missed, Roxanna leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Darwin, her three sons, Anthony Darwin, Dwayne Darwin and Brian Darwin; Her daughters in-law, Riki Darwin, Naomi Darwin, and Lisa Darwin; Her grandchildren, Andrew Darwin, Miles Darwin, Erwin (John) Contreras, Bethany Vazquez, Janissa Darwin, Jordyn Darwin, and Jayda Darwin; Her great-grandchildren, Jaden Contreras, Matthew Contreras, Haydn Darwin, and Ashtyn Darwin; Her brother, Michael Berhannan, and many cousins. The memories of her laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She is pre-deceased by the following family members: Raymond C Berhannan -Father (d. May 31, 1985), Daniel C Berhannan- Brother (d. November 16, 1995), and Winifred “Winnie” Swan Berhannan -Mother (d. August 22, 2007)
