A visitation in chapel for Roberto will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - SkyRose Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Van Nuys, 5940 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, CA 91401. A graveside service will occur Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11:20 AM to 12:20 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park, 10621 Victory Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91606.

Roberto S. Galvez, 87, was born on June 29, 1936, Zona 1 in Acatlán, Guatemala. Roberto also known as “Lelo” embarked on an incredible journey to the United States in 1956 with his best friend, Carlos, in pursuit of the American Dream. Roberto's adventurous spirit took him first to New Orleans, then Texas, and Missouri before he finally settled in Los Angeles. There, he built a large and beautiful family, who will forever cherish his legacy. Known for his charismatic personality and unparalleled storytelling, Roberto had a unique gift for making everyone feel better with his infectious laughter and jokes. Whether he shared stories of his youth or advice, he had a way of making everyone feel valued. His presence was a beacon of joy and comfort to all who knew him. He lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing moments spent with loved ones. Roberto is survived by his loving wife Blanca, six children: Carmen, Richard, Sergio, Dinora, Rosita, Robert— grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Roberto S. Galvez, de 87 años, nació el 29 de junio de 1936 en la Zona 1 de Acatlán, Guatemala. Roberto, también conocido como "Lelo", emprendió un increíble viaje a los Estados Unidos en 1956 con su mejor amigo, Carlos, en busca del Sueño Americano. El espíritu aventurero de Roberto lo llevó primero a Nueva Orleans, luego a Texas y Missouri antes de finalmente establecerse en Los Ángeles. Allí, construyó una familia grande y hermosa, que siempre apreciará su legado. Conocido por su personalidad carismática y su habilidad incomparable para contar historias, Roberto tenía un don único para hacer que todos se sintieran mejor con su risa contagiosa y sus chistes. Ya sea compartiendo historias de su juventud o consejos, tenía una manera de hacer que todos se sintieran valorados. Su presencia era un faro de alegría y consuelo para todos los que lo conocían. Vivió una vida de simplicidad, encontrando alegría en las pequeñas cosas y apreciando los momentos compartidos con sus seres queridos.
