There is never a good way to start off when it still hurts knowing you are gone. I still pray that its all a dream and that we had lost contact.  One day your call to wish Damian a happy birthday or to see what's the next big concert coming up. To this day your number remains in my phone but it will never pop up again. Its been 5 years and its still hard. As, for today I get to celebrate Damians 11th birthday I am also dreading seeing the clock say 8:06pm when I got the call that you were gone.   I hold on to the Jack Skellington pillow on the hardest days . Its something I will forever have from you. I hope you are doing OK and having fun wherever you may be. Oh man, where do I begin.  I first met Ramiro and his brother Andy Ruesga during second or third grade at Kenmore Elementary in Baldwin Park.  We were a bunch of kids who just enjoyed playing everything.  I mean everything.  It didn't matter what sport it was, roller blade hockey after watching the Mighty Ducks movie, tackle/flag football, dodgeball, baseball, basketball, wrestling, golf w/balls/clubs we'd buy at the goodwill, marbles... cops and robbers on bikes, building and hitting jumps, playing pogs or playing Nintendo 64 video games at his parents house during the summers or swimming at Mrs. Metzners house... or dismantling a shopping cart and attempting to weld/build a go-kart, lighting fireworks together, sky rockets and picolo petes we'd peel off to make them airborne, picking rasberries off my parents tree, visiting his dog Oso and the new litter of Chinese Sharpei pups, enjoying a nice hot patatoe/meat soup his Mom had just made... walking to the Ramona Liquor store and stocking up on munchies (chips, candies, ice cream)... or just hanging out curbside in front of Kenmore, or playing on rooftops, in trees and in the school sprinklers that would come on at 10pm .  It was never too early or too late with him, and man we had so much fun as kids.  I am so thankful and grateful for the memories we shared growing up in Baldwin Park, and you will be missed greatly brother.  May you rest in peace my friend, and I am praying for your family.  My deepest condolences to the Ruesga Family.  Que Dios los acompane y ayude durante este tiempo muy deficil.

Growing up with Ramiro is and will always be a blessing. Knowing him for 19 years is something that isn't and wont be easy to let go. Meeting him in 2001 when I first moved to La Puente. We became close friends when he worked on the iron gate for my parents house just down the street from the shop.   We become close after that. So much in common we never lost contact.  Its been really hard not being able to talk too him , text him or anything.   When I received the call i couldn't take it,  to this day I still cant. How do you forget someone that passes away on my son's birthday .  
He was an amazing guy, hard working and loving . Funny and just so down too earth he cared about so much and loved to have fun.  I wish he was still here on earth but his time has come and it is reality.  
I wish i had pictures to share but i dont and for that i am sorry.  I miss him truly and i will forever have love for him. For he is now an angel that i can talk too and look too for help.
