Diokpa Nwosu,  you were a wonderful father to us. You were loving and caring.  You always tried as much as possible to give your best in every situation.  
I just want to thank God for your life.  I thank God for having caused you to know Him and to serve Him.  I thank God for all He gave you the Grace and ability to accomplish.  I thank God for all He used you to do in the lives of others.  I thank God for you, because you taught me to always put others before myself in every situation. I admired you for all of these rare qualities.
Now you are gone; according to the will of GOD.  Let His Name be glorified.  I will always be in recognizance of your love, your kindness and care.  
Diokpa Nwosu, rest in the loving arms of your Lord Jesus where there is only laughter, joy, happiness, peace and most especially praises and worship which you loved so much to do.   You will be greatly missed.

To Our Beloved Diokpa Odinachi Nwosu

Diokpa,
It was with great sadness that  I got the news about your passing from Nneanyi. I knew that you have been sick for a while but your death still came as a shock to me as we recently spoke. You were always asking after your son, Victor and if he was taking good care of me. You still remembered to ask after the welfare of our children by their names. Thank you for being such a generous, caring father. I will always cherish your gentle voice, our joyful conversations, and your generous spirit. Thank you for being so loving and caring towards Victor, I and our children. Your quiet demeanor , the joy in your voice and your gently spirit will be missed. I will always remain “your beloved wife” of your son, Victor as you always made reference to me in our conversations . You will truly be missed. Rest in peace gentle giant. May the Angels lead you to heaven.

I met Diokpa Nwosu after moving to Los Angeles, and he lovingly embraced me as his daughter because of our shared Anioma roots and his friendship with my late uncle. Over time, he became a true father to me and the only grandfather my children have known.

He stood by me through life’s challenges, and I was honored to care for him in his later years. We will forever cherish his love and the way he called me “Ada’nyi.” May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

In the early 1980s, while I was in Los Angeles, I called Diokpa Nwosu to let him know I was in town. He invited me to come and see him. I was so happily received when I visited him and his family. Many other joyful visits followed, including a special visit I made with my own family. Each time, we were graciously welcomed and treated with exceptional kindness.

My family and I deeply appreciated Diokpa Nwosu and his family for their warmth, generosity, and thoughtful gestures. Their hospitality left a lasting impression on us, and we will always remember the love and respect with which we were received.

There was a time when one of our sisters visited from Nigeria to California and got stranded. When Diokpa heard about her situation, he called me to discuss it. Without hesitation, he took the lead. His decisive leadership brought about a prompt resolution that  ensured her safely returned to Nigeria.

Not only did he provide direction and guidance, but he also gave generously of his own resources to support the effort. That was the kind of man Diokpa was — compassionate, responsible, and deeply generous. He did not simply speak about helping others; he acted swiftly and sacrificially.

Diokpa Nwosu was one of the primary founders who provided the platforms that brought together the people of Isseles and Issele-Uku. His ideas, vision, and interests were always centered on the progress of our people. 

Diokpa has completed his work here on earth; therefore, the Lord has called him home. We take comfort in knowing that he is with our Heavenly Father, resting in the best place.

Diokpa Nwosu was a generous and truly great man. His legacy of leadership, kindness, and service will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed.

May Diokpa’s gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

To Mrs. Nwosu and the entire family, please take heart and be consoled. May the Almighty God protect you, your family, and all of us during this difficult time. Amen.

A TRIBUTE to Diokpa Odinachi Nwosu by Dr. Victor Odafe
Diokpa, we have known each other since the 1990s. Your passing is a great loss to your family, my family, the Isseles, and the entire Nigerian Community.
Diokpa, you lived a life of unshakeable integrity and boundless love for your family and humanity. You were a kind, caring, and dependable person who left a positive and meaningful impact on many people. Your life was defined by good deeds and service to humanity. Diokpa, you were a pillar within both your family and the community.  
Diokpa, during the formation of Issele Association of North America (IANA), your enduring commitment to leadership  and discipline were at display. You worked tirelessly, spending your time and financial resources to ensure that the association took off the ground. Under your leadership, IANA  equipped the primary schools and staff offices in Issele-Uku, Issele-Imkpitime, and Issele-Azagba with chairs, instructional supplies, etc. . 
Diokpa, I miss all the times that we spent on the phone discussing politics, culture, and wellbeing of our Isseles. I miss your wisdom, counsel,  and gentle strength. You were like a father to me. 
Diokpa, do you remember when Obosi People came to ‘knock on the door’ and you came all the way from Los Angeles, CA to Amherst, OH and played my father’s role? And you were there again at the wedding in 2016 in Houston, TX. Dalu Baba ! Chukwu Ga Agozi-i ! (Thank you, father! God will bless you.). Your lovely wife, Emilia (whom we fondly call Madam) was always there and remained with you till the last moment. Dalu Madam!  Chukwu Ga Agozi-i Shinne! (Thank you, Madam! God will bless you tremendously!)  I pray that the Good Lord blesses and consoles you, your daughters (Ngozi and Chinyem), and your granddaughters (Amayah and Mariah).
Diokpa, Ije Oma Ka Obu! Ka Omesie!  Chukwu Ga Anali Obi-i Na Ndukwa !(Safe journey! Goodbye! God will grant peace to your soul!). Amen! (Isse!)

Tribute to Diokpa Odinachi Nwosu
I first encountered Diokpa Odinachi Nwosu in 1997 during the inauguration of the Anioma Association USA. Unknown to me at the time, he had already grown concerned about the absence of Issele-Uku representation in the young organization. When he saw me on stage, his joy was evident. From that moment, he took a special interest in me.
In the year 2000, when the vision of bringing all Issele-Uku people in the United States together under one national body was born, Diokpa reached out to me. From then on, we worked closely together until he could no longer continue. Through that journey, I came to know him deeply and can confidently attest to his unwavering passion for Issele-Uku.
He loved his hometown with his whole being. He committed not only his emotions but also his personal resources to the progress of Issele-Uku—more than anyone I have ever known. His passion was not casual; it was missionary in nature. Even when misunderstood, he remained steadfast and determined.
Though his passing is a profound loss, the legacy he leaves behind remains a lasting gain. His life was marked by purpose and dignity.
He came, he saw, he conquered, and he made a dignified exit—just as we all will in time.
Rest in perfect peace, Diokpa Odinachi Nwosu.
