Milton James Anthony Jr. was born to Milton James Anthony Sr. and Mary Anita Todd Anthony
on November 14, 1932 in Compton, California. He grew up in Los Angeles with his parents
Milton and Anita, his two sisters, Shirley Mae and Janice, and his brother Clifford. His parents'
involvement with the Salvation Army instilled in him a strong sense of faith and a lifelong love of
music. . “Mick” graduated from Whittier High School in 1951, married the love of his life Janet
Louise Greene on July 3, 1952. He was drafted into the United States Army in1952 at the peak
of the Korean War and discharged in 1954. He returned to General Telephone where he worked
for the next 30 years. Mick and Janet raised four children, Gilbert, Daniel, Matthew, and Denise
in the quiet suburbs of West Covina, later moving to Angelus Oaks, then Yucaipa, and finally
Eureka. Mick earned an AA Degree in 1958 and a BS Degree in 1980. His interests and talents
were many. He was an artist, a designer, a builder, an architect, a writer, an engineer, a
musician, a traveler, a lifelong learner.
Milton James Anthony Jr. is survived by his wife of 68 years, Janet Anthony, his children Gilbert
Anthony, Daniel Anthony, Matthew Anthony (Dawn), Denise (Dwuane) Anthony; his
grandchildren Justin (Kelly) Anthony, Jared Anthony, Allison (Adam) Frith-Smith, Jordan
Brummell, Julian Brummell; and his great-grandchildren Thomas, Andrew , Hunter and Porter;
his sister Janice Dobbs; He was preceded in death by Milton James Anthony Sr, Mary Anita
Todd Anthony, Shirley Mae Dotson, Clifford Ralph Anthony.

Milton James Anthony Jr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son,
brother, and friend.
He will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Whittier, CA on October 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
