Michael Angelo Lopez Jr.

Micheal Angelo Lopez, age 52, of Santa Fe Springs passed away on the shared anniversary of his icon, Elvis Presley, August 16, 2021. Funeral services will be at Rose Hills memorial chapel on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Michael was born May 22, 1969 to Michael Sr. and Margaret Lopez. He was the second of four siblings; Michelle, Marcus and Monica. He received his education from Santa Fe High School; where he also discovered his passion to serve and protect the community. He continued his work in security until recently. Michael had many talents such as landscaping, karate, and getting people to laugh. But, if there’s one thing Michael was best at, it was being a father. His children Michael III (23), and Cole (18), were his world. And others, including the youngest Sophia (3) looked up to him. Michael had a huge heart of gold. Friends and family would describe him as dependable, caring, and an honest man. He would go to the end of this world for people he cared for. Or at least drive them a few states over. He sure did love his road trips. He also had a love for country music. He most likely wouldn’t be caught in public without his cowboy hat. He was loved by many, and gave many love. His heart belonged to his girlfriend Julie, who loved him tender.

Michael will be deeply missed by his mother, children, siblings, niece and nephews, extended family and friends.
