
Dave Graul, most recently of Temecula, CA, passed away on March 17, 2026. Born, February 3, 1952, Dave grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin. He graduated with a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. It was during that time, that Dave met the love of his life, Maryam Chin (1953-2021), a fellow student.
Maryam Chin Graul passed away on April 26, 2021, in Temecula, CA. Born, June 18, 1953, Maryam grew up in Hong Kong. She was a brilliant student, an avid athlete, and a budding artist. After high school, Maryam relocated to Wisconsin to further her education. She attended the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, then earned a Master’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
After graduation, Dave and Maryam moved to the Los Angeles area. They were married on September 19, 1981, ultimately settled in Simi Valley during their work life and later retiring to Temecula, CA.
Dave’s career was in IT, yet his passions included an in-depth curiosity of economic theory balanced with a study of world history. For years he enjoyed skiing, golfing and shared his wife’s excitement for a well-played basketball game.
Maryam excelled in the profession of Market Research. She was passionate about music, sports and art. She discovered singing and ventured into skiing and golfing. She continued in drawing, oils and through perseverance, ultimately fell in love with and mastered watercolor.
Dave and Maryam shared many beautiful years together, building a life centered on love, devotion, and nurturing their beloved Yorkie—DimSum. Maryam will be fondly remembered for her love for Dave, enthusiasm in singing, art, sports, and her unfailing kindness. Dave will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to Maryam, his intrinsic pursuit of knowledge, and his good heart.
Following their wishes, Dave and Maryam were cremated, and their earthly remains are now being interred together, symbolizing a bond that time and distance could never break.
Their final resting place is at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, in the Sycamore Lake East Island Urn, Gate 1, Row 1, Lot 105, Space 1.
A Graveside Service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601, US, on June 27, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
