I have memories of visiting Uncle Vernon and Aunt Mary in Los Angeles. Coming from small town Tulare, it was a big deal to go to LA. I was young so there wasn’t much interaction between myself and my aunt and uncle. But the interaction between them and my parents is vivid in my memory. They could spend hours around the kitchen table talking and laughing. Uncle Vernon was so tall and handsome and Aunt Mary was such a beautiful woman. A beauty she has passed on to her daughters and granddaughters. But what I remember most about her was her ability to tell you a story. It’s that smile on her face (and how she would squint her eyes)that is as clear in my mind today as it was back then. It was and still is, a joy to remember the love they (my parents and my uncle and aunt) had for one another and their ability to converse and enjoy one another’s  company. I will always remember her sweet face and how she made us feel so  welcomed in her home. She was the last aunt on both sides of my family. I will treasure my memories of her until that day when I will once again see her face to face. Rest in peace Aunt Mary.. You are loved❤️.

Last Mother’s Day we brought Grandma Mary over for Mother’s Day. It took several people involved to move her but it was worth every moment to have her with us. Dane presented her with a gold necklace that said Nana which was his special name for her because my mom is grandma . She came over for the last time again at Thanksgiving. I just layed with her on the couch and held her hand and kept her company. After dinner several people came and sat with us because it was such a loving site to see. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
