Our beloved matriarch Maria Eugenia Silva, 80, of Hacienda Heights passed away on November 14, 2022. She was born in Michoacan, Mexico in 1942 and immigrated to the US in her early 20’s. She devoted her life to her husband and children and to building a successful family business. Maria is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ruben; their five children Adriana, Irasema, Ruben, Zoraya and Daniel; thirteen grandchildren Noah, Adam, Joshua, Steven, Shae, Alina, Ruben, Amelia, Olivia, Abbey, Emily, Sophia, and Ethan; her three step-grandchildren Savannah, Brandon, and Christian; her daughter-in-laws Marva and Sandy; and her son-in-laws Sinisa, Bryan, and Reagan. She is now reunited with her first born son Fernando; her beloved granddaughter Sabrina who passed away in 2015; and granddaughter Asia who passed away in 1995.
Maria was a beautiful woman of many facets. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family. Maria loved God, spent her time in daily prayer, and supported her local church St. John Vianney. She had many hobbies including crafting, reading books, and gardening. She was a loving and dedicated grandmother that always helped care for her grandchildren. Her giving heart sponsored many children in need around the world. Words cannot begin to express how extraordinary she was and how much she meant to her family. Her feisty wit and personality will be greatly missed and impossible to replace. We are thankful to God for all the years he blessed us with her.
