María de Jesús Lozano Palma was born on December 25, 1928, in Calabacillas, Chihuahua, México to Natalio and María Palma. One of twelve children, she was raised in a large and loving family in the countryside. She immigrated to the United States in 1962, beginning a new chapter with her beloved husband, Alvaro Lozano, and their three children: Lidia, Beto, and Balo. María, Grandma or Tía Chuy as she is known by most, was a resilient, beautiful, loving woman of immense strength. She passed in peace, June 24, 2025 in Los Angeles. María will live on with us in her family and community with deep love and appreciation, guiding our spirit and lives forever.
María de Jesús Lozano Palma nació el 25 de diciembre de 1928 en Calabacillas, Chihuahua, México, hija de Natalio y María Palma. Una de doce hijos, se crio en una familia numerosa y amorosa en el campo. Emigró a Estados Unidos en 1962, comenzando una nueva etapa con su amado esposo, Álvaro Lozano, y sus tres hijos: Lidia, Beto y Balo. María, Grandma o Tía Chuy, como la conocen, fue una mujer resiliente, hermosa, amorosa y de inmensa fortaleza. Falleció en paz el 24 de junio de 2025 en Los Ángeles. María vivirá con nosotros en su familia y comunidad con profundo amor y aprecio, guiando nuestro espíritu y nuestras vidas para siempre.
