Our beloved mother, wife, sister and friend Maria Teresa Cruz, was called by our Lord on December 11, 2024. She is survived by her spouse Aurelio Cruz, her six children, Refugio Ernesto, Teresa, Gloria, Aurelio Jr, Patricia, Cesar and 13 grandchildren. She was born on July 16, 1940 in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico to Marcelino Macias and Maximina Reynoso. Maria Teresa was one of the youngest of 8 children. She had a devotion to our Blessed Virgin Mary and always prayed the rosary. Always praying for her family and others. Her faith in the Lord was strong until the very end. Maria Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family and outdoors. She loved traveling and visiting new places. Her humility and kind heart touched many who knew her. Her love and compassion for her family and others will be dearly missed.
A visitation in chapel for Maria will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - SkyRose Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St John of God Church, 13819 Pioneer Blvd #3919, Norwalk, California 90650.
Maria will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Portal Lawn; Gate: 1, Section: 4, Lot: 825, Grave: 1.
