In the fall of 1987, Lora spent one semester in the dorms of San Francisco State University.  Within a week of her arrival, the city’s three  top model agencies were in competition with each other to sign her.  She was sincere, fun-loving and at times, fiery.  She left SF State  at Christmas to assist her family  in Los Angeles while also pursuing her career ambitions.    She really loved her parents as she had several pictures of them   on her shelf and desk.    Years after college I saw a picture of Lora and James G. in a tabloid.  They were at the Emmys because  the Sopranos and James were nominated.  She looked great but ironically not much different .   Even in college, Lora was  “glamorous” just being herself.   In hind sight, I think she may have missed her calling because the “Lora” I remember loved combat and fighting.   I am very serious in my belief  that  she could have parlayed her looks,  acting skills, and athletic ability  into a career in the WWE which then could have crossed over to  mainstream television and film.  Last week, I was watching clips of the Sopranos and wondered what became of Lora when I did a search and found this obituary.  It ruined my day.   While I only knew her for one college semester, Lora was a beautiful, genuine and authentic person.

Laura was a friend from High School and was funny, sarcastic and very sweet.    Sad to hear that she moved on.  Rest in peace Laura.

 I never told you how much I loved you. For that I’m sorry. You were my muse, my friend and my confident for almost 30 years.  I miss you. 

I honestly don’t know how to be taken seriously, when I’m only discovering this devastating news today… to say that Lora changed my life and life purpose is an understatement.  At the time we were brought into each other’s universe, I was chasing my ego trying to find “self” in the film Industry.  We worked together on Mouse Hunt.  At that same time there was something deeper, pulling me in what seemed to be a very opposite direction-Spiritual Healing.  It was Lora who turned me on to the reality that there was something far beyond what I could see, taste, touch and smell.  She introduced me to her very special friend Neil and my transcendence into a whole new world began.  Sadly, I lost touch with Lora over the years with my moving about, but never forgot how transitional she was in my life.  We LAUGHED, Loved and Learned so much from each other.  I was truly blessed to have her put on my path.  I pray she is at peace and raising the stakes up there, like she certainly did here.    What a force, what a friend…

Oh Tom, I just saw this terrible horrible news.  I remember how your face just literally lit up whenever you talked about Lara.  The pride and love just emanated from you.  I can’t imagine your pain.  Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences and best wishes,

Loved and miss Lora very much although we never meet I felt like I knew her from her podcast. She helped me get through so much and always had time to message me privately and on FB.  I've lost so much this year and look forward to seeing you again Lora in heaven. I miss ya sugar.  

Not a day goes by. Lora was such a good friend to me. She was an amazing person and an even more amazing spirit. Thank you for bringing such a divine woman into this world. Despite the unexpected…please believe that she was loved beyond. Blessings to you.  And thank you.

Lora was one in a million. She was beautiful, hilarious, passionate, smart, caring, dynamic, and loving. She made an impact everywhere she went. Thank you for bringing her into this world. My heart aches for your loss as her parents, a pain I can’t imagine. But please know many of us share this loss with you, and your special girl will never be forgotten. Lora’s memory will surely be for a blessing. 💕🌟💕

Lora and I went to Sonora High School together but lost touch after graduation the same year.   I will always remember her as a sweet, athletic and beautiful 15-17 year old with a great sense of humor and always willing to share friendly insightful observations on teen life and the local gossip and goings on.    I see she achieved great things and made a lot of new friends and accomplished a lot.   I wish her family well.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your vibrant, funny daughter.  I met her when I was a guest on her show, but followed her posts religiously.  I laughed at her incredible and original sense of humor and I miss that and her, and still am having trouble believing she's no longer with us.  I am grateful for what time I had with her.

A piece of my heart has been torn out and is now gone forever.  RIP you incredible force of nature,.  My one of a kind friend, Lora.  Love you and miss you.

Lora made me laugh even in my darkest saddest times.  My fellow dog rescuer, we shared a love of dogs and would always exchange pictures of our fur-babies.  Lora's tell-it-like-it-is no nonsense attitude and what you see is what you get, never ceased to make me laugh, smile and share her sentiments.  Heaven gained a true angle when they took Lora away.  I miss her.  Loving thoughts to her family xoxoxoxo

Tom and Candy,  My heart aches at the loss of your precious daughter, Lora.  Parents should never have to bare the emptiness and pain of losing their child.
Lora was a beautiful person inside and out! Chris and Paul thought she was the best baby sitter ever when she watched them in Palm Springs; "she was so much fun" Chris then developed a crush on Lora and would write her notes. Lora was so bright and always delightful when working together at Golden Eagle.  Her fabulous, infectious smile and huge charismatic personality would brighten your day.
In viewing your posted pictures, I pray that in time, you can find peace in all the good memories of her exciting life and your wonderful times shared with Lora.

Never was there a more beautiful woman.  Never was there a more stunning smile. Never was there a more wonderfully mischievous, utterly loyal friend. A huge hole exists in my heart for Lora. I am so very sad for all of us, especially her family whom she adored, but I am warmed by her memory...that laugh, those gams, that heart, her wit, and her absolute LUST for life. Lora did nothing halfway. I am so much better for having known her and how to be a better friend and woman in her honor. 

Ah, Lora... One of the biggest and brightest classmates at Sonora:-) Always so kind to me and so fun to be around.  My heart is so saddened for our loss of your presence on this earth.  I will always remember you!!
