Leah was married for 56 years 4 months to and survived by her loving husband Floyd. Together they raised 3 children: Darlene Grace, Floyd Clyde III & Venessa Lynn who cherished her love and support. Leah is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Beyond being a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother Leah was a mentor to and respected by many of her colleagues at College Hospital.
There were many special times with family whether it was just rolling dice, having a big group for dinner or just being alone with her husband. The cruise to Greece was one of her highlights & she enjoyed each trip made to Alaska. Hawaii was special - she wanted to see the lush greenery - Ohau wasn't the place for that but a swim in a pond fed by a waterfall being shared with family members also made the list. She loved the trip to Australia within a few yards from the sound & smell of the ocean wafting into her room and the trip through the rain forest & snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef. She gave joy during her travels wherever she went. Sharing that passion for travel with her husband.
Leah seemed to always have her hands doing something, knitting, reading a book, working on paint puzzles on her tablet or just making sure her fingernails were just so to celebrate a holiday or special occasion.
Overcoming adversity Leah graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Masters degree in Behavioral Science entering a career lasting over 20 years, as a Marriage & Family Therapist with the Crystal Cathedral, in Garden Grove California and later with College Hospital, in Cerritos, California.
