Lawrence and I met "James Hong" at Nickelodeon and got him to take a picture as the "Hear, See and Speak no Evil" monkeys!!

Ahiya Lawrence was one of three cousins of my age and the most amiable one whom I had an easy time to relate to while growing up. When Ahiya Lawrence left for the US in the mid-80s, I never had the chance to say goodbye.  Eventually we met again -- twice in fact -- in 1989 when I visited LA on my way home after spending some time in Chicago; and the next meet was in 2016, just around the time my kid is going to college in. I will surely miss Ahiya Lawrence who I treat him like my own brother.

Y2K. Its hard to belive I've know Lawrence since the turn of the century.  (Almost half of his life) We meet at Teletech, he was one of the IT guys part of the contingency plan if systems went down. Luckily nothing happened and he enjoyed pizza for the night.
Even after leaving the company, we still kept in touch. He was my buffet eating buddy. He loved getting his money worth.
When he moved to Nickelodeon, he would invite my family and I to movies at Paramount and Halloween  at Nick. They were fun times that we got to share with him. Sometimes people become part of your family. As he watched my kids grow, he was known as Uncle Lawrence. He was always supportive and we shared some major milestones events with him. Lawrence was a great fiend who welcomed people with open arms. Always smiling, he enjoyed photography and was great at capturing special moments in life.
In recent years, we didn't talk or see each other as much after moving. But Lawrence held a special place in my familes heart. He will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace.

One of the benefits Lawrence  enjoyed working at Nickelodeon was Halloween night . He would tell me about the office being decorated, pallets of candy that arrived and the costume contest. An avid photographer, he loved taking pictures and recording every one enjoying themselves. 
For years Lawrence would invite me & my kids to come to Halloween & movies at Paramount. He treated us like family. We really enjoyed spending time with Lawrence. There are so many great and  memories we had with him. Lawrence will be deeply missed.

Lawrence was always so happy and made working at Nickelodeon better. I got to spend 4 years working with him.  He was an important part of the team. His jokes always made you smile and company events were better when he attended. Rest in peace

Lawrence was one of the first people I met when I started at Nickelodeon Animation. He was so welcoming and kind and always had his camera ready to capture the culture and spirit of the studio. 
Always ready to laugh and a nice person. 
He will be missed.
