There was a time you were the love of my life. Friends who became brother and sister to something further. I'm sorry we lost touch after you married, to your daughter love and peace. Laverne and I were close friends in 7th and 8th grade. We’d talk on the phone for hours on. She went to St. Michael’s and I to St. Matthias for high school and as time past, we lost contact. She has always been in my thoughts.  My sincere condolences are sent to her family and friends. May her soul forever rest in God’s eternal peace.

To the Mitchell family and especially LaVerne’s daughter, I send my sincere condolences.  LaVerne was such a gentle hearted and caring person.  She genuinely related to people with her heart.  I met her in the 7th grade at St. Lawrence of Brindisi Elementary School and we became fast friends.  I know she rests now and we shall all meet again with the Most High God.  Please take comfort in knowing that we  loved one of His best.

I know it's been awhile since we have spoken, but ever since we met at St Michael's grand nite 1980 you and Wardell, Courtney and I and Ricky as a tag along. You have been a dear friend. You will be missed, rest in peace. 

U were a warm soul+. So grief stricken right now...love u Sister. We shared so many conversations , you shape a lot of my childhooh with laughs and late night conversations. Keeping me going when I was sad. Talked to me..Talked to me through some stuff .go Rest in Peace Queen
