Regarding spiritual matters, I prayed to receive Christ when I was about 10 years old. While I took seriously my life with Christ, I was not good about sharing my faith. When Lee was about 17, someone did what I should have done, he shared his faith with Lee and Lee came to know Jesus as savior. Not long after that, Lee came to me and was very angry. "Why didn't you tell me about Jesus. If I had died I could have been lost forever. " In my heart I knew he was right. 
As with most things, Lee followed the scripture that says, "Whatever your hands finds to do, do with all your strength." Back in those days, Youth for Christ held a rally every Saturday at Church of the Open Door in Los Angeles. Kids from all over the LA area came together to worship God and hear the Bible taught. And Lee was right there with them.

Lee was my best friend throughout high school. He knew all about cars long before he had a license. I think he had owned about six different cars in the four years after he got his license. I'm sure he is the only person who would allow me to cruise unaccompanied in his 1954 Jag XK120 and his 1958 Impala 348. Obviously the attached picture is neither of these. I learned a lot from him.
